How many times a year do you go to McDonalds, and what do you get?

Oh! but I will stop often for the frozen strawberry lemonade! It's delicious.
Can we add Taco Bell to this survey? 'cause when you mentioned TB in the cravings thread, I wanted to ask you what your order, RA. Because aren't you a vegetarian? TB has veggie meals?

A few years ago I'd pick up breakfast before work sometimes. It was close and cheap, and they had awesome pancakes.

Actually, it’s a 1/4 pounder here too.

My son has a hamburger happy meal, with apple slices instead of fries, and either a milk or a root beer.
I have nothing, though occasionally I cave and have either a yogurt parfait or a chocolate chip cookie.

I have a tiny cheeseburger meal or the 4 piece nuggets.
You know what else I love? The bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. I share one of those with Pippa some mornings if we're driving somewhere fun.
I know it's crap food, I know it's artificial and disgusting, but I think that's what I love about it. For example, the "cheese"??? I love that stuff!!

Yes... TOTALLY real- and delicious.

I'm not sure, but they may be required by law to call it "cheez." I believe that is now standard for all cheeses that don't actually contain cheese.

I have a sentimental love for the Egg McMuffin. That was my late father-in-law's favorite breakfast. "Come on, Ann, I'll buy you a nice breakfast," he'd call to his wife. Sniff.

Mr Mary loves Cabelas, and Bass Pro Shops too

I love it. And you're driving away before he even comes out of his house, right?

He's gotta make it to Amber's house for statue duty.
I've pretty much given up McDonalds food, not that I ate that much of it anyway. In the past I'd get a quarter pounder and fries maybe 3-4 times a year. So: no more food. Then I went through a phase over the last year where I really dug their strawberry milkshakes. I've cut ice cream and shakes out of my diet so now really the only thing I get there, on occasion, is the frozen strawberry lemonade, and the only time I get it is if I'm right in the vicinity. They're on the way to the library, so on a hot day walking, I'll mostly likely stop and get a lemonade. But that's it. I've probably gotten 6-7 lemonades this summer. And over the winter if I was walking to the library I might stop and get a hot chocolate. I don't sit there and drink it, though. I keep walking. I don't like the McDonalds ambiance. I also don't like their coffee, which tastes like water.

We always stop in at the McDonald's in Port Washington when we go to Wisconsin. When we go to Atlanta, our usual stops are Crawfordsville Indiana and Chattanooga Tennessee.
I generally get the chipoltle grilled chicken wrap and fries, my husband gets the 1/4 pounder w/cheese.

I've been there:)

You really should stop and say Hi to RA then.

So Happy Meals are getting a teeny bit healthier, apparently because of Michelle Obama's anti-obesity campaign. But:
Happy Meals account for less than 10% of McDonald’s U.S. sales, but sales have been declining since 2003 for a funny reason: “gadgets for children have become more sophisticated and the toys less desirable.”
And Instead of Happy Meals, parents have been
ordering adult-size items off the ‘dollar menu’ and splitting them between two children rather than buying two kids’ meals.

I had oatmeal.

I still get e-mail from Qdoba and hope to someday find one nearby.
