You know what, I've only had to remove two people from my Hunger Games group. Out of 400 something that've joined. I find if you respectfully(yet with authority) reprimand them and show them things from another point of view, then take the time to answer questions and get them to understand what they've done wrong, then you don't have any problems and the issue is solved.
I normally warn them in the topic, nicely, of course. Unless it's something huge. Normally the only problems I have is bad grammar. If they continue, I send them a PM, and then, if they CONTINUE again, I warn them in the topic. Embarrassment can sometimes stop people from doing things. If I accidentally hug someone who I thought was my father, I never do it again.
And then, if they CONTINUE again again, I talk to the other mods about it.

1-2 warnings= be careful
3-4 warnings= is being watched
5+ warnings= is removed.....
You guys are too nice. Especially you, Lynx.
I tend to do it a little more bluntly. If someone is having a problem, like arguing and such, I tell them to shut up about it in the roleplay and move it to another topic. Usually that will help kill it--a lot of times they don't care enough to move topics. If they do, and keep arguing and it gets nasty--I'm talking thirteen year old girls on their periods nasty, no offense--I'll tell them straight up, fight's over, give my verdict(Not 'Sally's right and Bob's wrong', but 'Sally, you are being a jerk, but Bob, that's no reason to explode about it') and tell them not to argue anymore. They can pick it up in a private message if they really want. If they start arguing with me, I bring out my debating skills, and not many survive that.
If it's stuff like grammar, I try to leave that alone, but do require quotations when people are talking and periods if multiple sentences are being written so I can understand what they're saying.

What if you and your other mods in the group are trying to get people to make chacter for and RP and they have sent PMs and asked them too. Have any advice? Also if anyone has read the Hunger Games please cheeck out this group: http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/5...
