Well for some of us, August means the end of summer and getting ready to go back to school. Instead of dragging our feet, let's make it a reason to read! Do a YA Book Exploration, or find books that fit the categories below. Either way, have fun and learn to love August. (and if you are already out of school, this is just another excuse to read books)
1. YA Book Exploration - Get back to those school-age angsty feelings by exploring different YA books. Try some new books by different authors, catch up on series that you are behind in or read a whole series. However you choose to split it up, just make sure it's YA and in the PNR/UF genre.
OR
2. Category Challenge
Ready for School - Read a book that has characters in school (there are oh so many to pick from)
Schoolgirl Crush - Read a book that has a hero (or heroine) that you are seriously crushin' on.
Required Reading - Find a series you are behind in, and read the next book necessary to catch up.
New Supplies - Read a book by a new author, or a new series by a familiar author
School-yard bully - Read a book with that kind of hero. You know the one I mean, the hero that you LOVE to hate.
Don't smoke that cigarette! - Find that book you told yourself you wouldn't pick up for whatever reason, (too much hype, series is going downhill, too much sex, taboo topic etc...) and just go for it. Yes, I'm telling you to pick up that book, it'll be fun :)
Peer Pressure - Find a book on a friend's shelf and read it
Too cool for school - Read a book with atypical YA characters. (School drop-outs, rebels, all around badasses etc..)
