Just finished - just started
Just finished Boomerang enjoyed the slap stick which isn't my usual read and started Mark of the Dragon Queen this morning. Love it. Half way through already.
Just finished Mark of the Dragon Queen which I liked and Pastworld which I really liked. Just started Mighty Hammer Down which I was finding quite hard to put down last night!
I just finished the very good
and started an ebook I had the sample of on my kindle though I can't for the life of me remember why I picked up the sample it's going very well so far
Just finished Underneath by Kealan Patrick Burke (but I can't find the link) - ok but dismal and no characters I could warm to. I also read M T McGuire's prequel to the L'Barthan Trilogy. Unlucky Dip. Daft way round to read things, I know, but I found it a good example of her style and there was a taster of Book 1 at the end. It would be a good way to try her out.
Feeling completely spoilt by the choice of bookclub reads and the challenge of trying to read the work of authors in this group. I've read two of the three books this month
and
. Both very different yet really good reads, looking forward to the discussion threads (with spoilers) opening.I'm now getting immersed in
and am enjoying it much more than I did 'Bang'.

Ooh - I'm enjoying Bang: Memoirs of a Relationship Assassin so I must read Fake Kate as well soon!

I wasn't too keen on Bang, it made me realise what a closet romantic I am lol. Would def recommend Fake Kate though :)
I've just finished Donna Fasano's Nanny And The Professor a good sweet romance and just started Shaun's Dead World a gripping read so far.
I finally finished A Dish Best Served Cold. Grabbed my kindle before my company even had their car started. ;) Simon and Ignite, et al were correct. It was an excellent read.I fancy another quick read but not sure which I'll start next. I have several from our authors to choose from.
I've read that one Ignite, i wasn't overly keen. I have just finished Broadmoor Revealed, quite interesting, just lacking a contents page. Now reading Adventures in Pharmacy - had a moment of indecision over my non fiction, so went for the shortest!!
I finished reading Bang: Memoirs of a Relationship Assassinlast night, I enjoyed it and found it well written.
This morning I read a short story, Danburgh Castle which was a pleasant read. Now I've started Torbrek ... and the Dragon Variation since Katie has got me in the mood for reading about dragons! This story is written by Lexi Revellian though. I've only just started it but am liking it so far.

Reaper Man was one of my favourites too, Jud. I'm not that great a fan of Terry Pratchett but I did love this one - I loved the way Death spoke in capitals, little Death of Rats, and the little girl who could see through his disguise and called him a "skellington"! Haven't read it for a few years though. Have the paperback in a box somewhere..
:0)
Oh yes, and the fact that Death's horse is called Binky!!

Yea, the ones with Death in them are my preferred ones he's my favourite character (so far). Binky gave me a chuckle every time it was mentioned
Just finished
for the second time.Stunning read and I found the end very moving. Gave 5*s over a year agoand would again.
Finished up Burial to Follow which was OK, and just started Night Corridor. I'm enjoying it thus far.
Decided to read and finish Tears for Hesh - J. Michael Radcliffe and now sat reading Forsaken - J. Michael Radcliffe
Just finished Mark of the Dragon Queen which I enjoyed. Started Loisaida -- A New York Story which I am not enjoying. Think I will try one of the group reads instead.
Just finished Nine Dragons by Michael Connelly. The usual breathless, littered-with-bodies Harry Bosch adventure. He doesn't seem to slow down and I estimate he must be about 60 by now as it is 40 years since he was in Vietnam. Then I spotted Best Foot Forward by Susie Kelly. This is about her walk across France from La Rochelle to Geneva. Sounds as if it has something in common with my own adventure so I have just started reading it. She seems a little unprepared for the walk but it is well-written and entertaining.
Not sure when it took place but she is talking francs.

As Katie got me interested in dragons I'm now reading Torbrek ... and the Dragon Variation by Lexi Revellian. It's very well written and I'm thoroughly enjoying it! Maybe you could give that a try Emma..?

Got to agree with Karen. I have loved all Lexi's books and would tell anyone to give them a go. I was really surprised when she did fantasy but all her books are 5 starrers in my opinion. I have her book of short stories but haven't read that yet.
Just read Shaun's Dead World and really enjoyed it. Think I'm going to start a DTB now. Found a Karin Slaughter book I hadn't read whilst packing. So will be dipping into A Faint Cold Fear
I finished Abide with Me I didn't particularly enjoy it, it was too angry for me! And once again I'm struggling to decide what to read next.

Just finished The Moonstone - just wonderful! Almost finished The Dharma Bums and just started Leiyatel's Embrace by Indie Author Clive S Johnson!
I gave up on Adventures in Pharmacy and started A Party for Patsy - very compelling read about a families battle with cancer.
I read Danburgh Castle which was a real departure for me as I don't usually read romance. I quite enjoyed it and do recommend it to our romance lovers who are looking for a short read. I also applaud Catherine's choice of only having a page or so of links at the end, rather than a sample or pages of other stuff at end of the story. I'm really disappointed to see the addition of loads of rubbish at the end of short stories happening more and more frequently. I've now started Yellow Crocus. I'm only at 4% and already hooked.
I've just finished reading Torbrek ... and the Dragon Variation which I really enjoyed and highly recommend. It's very well written, full of surprises and witty.
I'm not sure what to read next, Stella has been raving about I'd Sooner Starve! on facebook, so I'm giving that a go.
