Laura (lauraborkpower) Hello!

I'm new to the group and have a question for anyone who's willing to answer. I'm a big audiobook listener and would really like to "read"/listen to the Rizzoli and Isles books, all of which are available through Audible.com. My issue, however, is that a bunch of the books, including the first one in the series, are abridged recordings (which is so irritating to me as a reader). So, do you think that I should get them anyway to listen, even though they're abridged? My real question, I think, is: are the stories so good that I need every single detail? Or do you think they'd still be good if extra, non-plot related information is cut out?

Thanks for your input!

Tracy Laura - I listened to most of the R&I on audiobooks and they were great.

Laura (lauraborkpower) Great, thank you! They seemed like something fun to listen to, so I'm glad to hear they are.

Jackie Lane (jaxlane) I read some and listened to others, but I don't think I would like the abridged version. I would be worried about missing an important detail.

Laura (lauraborkpower) That's totally my biggest concern--but because I'm an instant gratification person, I might listen to them and then read them later...or just go to the store and get them! I can't decide! But thanks for your input...

I've listened to most of Tess Gerritsen's books on audio. Don't settle for abridged. All the Rizzoli & Isles books are available UNABRIDGED. I borrowed mine from the library. If your local library doesn't have them ask about inter-library loan because many libraries have this series as audiobooks in their catalog. :-) Happy Reading & Listening!

Yes! Perfect! I sort of always forget about using the library for audiobooks, but I will totally check that out! Problem solved, thanks!
