Really need to say thanks very much to Emma for all of the work that she has kindly put in to these covers. I'll keep you informed of the next steps...and I think I may have an idea about the publication date.

Aw, no worries Philip. I have enjoyed every minute :-) will be interested to know which one makes the final cut :-)
Emma (and anyone else) might want to have a look at the comment here:http://www.sagazone.co.uk/blogs/detai...
Aw, that is nice. Thanks Philip for sharing that. Glad it is creating some interest for your book :-)
Emma wrote: "Aw, that is nice. Thanks Philip for sharing that. Glad it is creating some interest for your book :-)"Not 'arf, Emma. The blog post with your cover on it has had 75 visits to date, which is pretty good going for my blog.
Emma's done a brilliant job of those pictures.I'm a tad surprised you chose that layout though Phil.
Any reason why in particular?

Carried out a straw poll of friends and family and that format (with that background) came out as the most popular. I think the rationale is that the position of the horse adds a little movement and emphasis to the cover.
Patti (Stir Crazy) wrote: "I see. Makes sense. Thanks, I was just nosy. :)"
No problem, Patti. I've been very grateful for the feedback on the cover from all sources. I don't suppose that there is ever one right answer and the proof of the pudding will be in the eating (or possibly the reading). We'll see how things go after 30th August ;-)

Thanks Patti. I hope you feel the same way when you've ploughed your way through it!
Now with added blurb (courtesy of Jan Hurst-Nicholson - this is becoming quite a cooperative venture)http://philwhiteland.blogspot.co.uk/2...

Glad everyone likes it and the blurb is great too Philip. Looking forward to release day and of course, I will be wanting a copy :-) (and some of my friends do too, so added bonus!)

Strewth! I wonder if I should order my Rolls Royce now? ;-)

Patti (Stir Crazy) wrote: "Just saw that on Facebook. Nice one Phil!"Must admit to being chuffed that the old girl is still proving popular after all this time.
By the way, if you know someone who would like to have a look at my granny but who doesn't (shock, horror!) have a Kindle...http://www.amazon.co.uk/Steady-Past-Y...
Patti (Stir Crazy) wrote: "You're going to get your blog in the web ring, aren't you Phil?"You've lost me there, Patti. What am I missing (don't all shout at once!)

I was really grateful for everyone's input, and especially Emma's hard work. This book wouldn't be published at all without the Goodreads denizens encouragement!
Awww Phil. You're lovely. :)I'm really looking forward to it, you know.
Hey. Question.
Do I show as hitting from Nigeria on your blog? Janet sez I do on her's.
Rather cool, I think.

Thanks Patti. I've got a little pale shaded area about half-way down Africa on the left hand side. Would that be you?
Yep!Nifty! Got anything from India? Don't remember if I looked at blogs last time I was there, though. Only had my kindle to access the net then.
You'll have hits from Azerbaijan soon!
