Philip Whiteland | 3394 comments Really need to say thanks very much to Emma for all of the work that she has kindly put in to these covers. I'll keep you informed of the next steps...and I think I may have an idea about the publication date.

Not 'arf, Emma. The blog post with your cover on it has had 75 visits to date, which is pretty good going for my blog.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Emma's done a brilliant job of those pictures.

I'm a tad surprised you chose that layout though Phil.

Any reason why in particular?

Carried out a straw poll of friends and family and that format (with that background) came out as the most popular. I think the rationale is that the position of the horse adds a little movement and emphasis to the cover.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I see. Makes sense.

Thanks, I was just nosy. :)

No problem, Patti. I've been very grateful for the feedback on the cover from all sources. I don't suppose that there is ever one right answer and the proof of the pudding will be in the eating (or possibly the reading). We'll see how things go after 30th August ;-)

I was really grateful for everyone's input, and especially Emma's hard work. This book wouldn't be published at all without the Goodreads denizens encouragement!

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Awww Phil. You're lovely. :)

I'm really looking forward to it, you know.

Hey. Question.

Do I show as hitting from Nigeria on your blog? Janet sez I do on her's.

Rather cool, I think.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Denizens? I rather like being a denizen...

I can't pronounce it properly out loud though.

Thanks Patti. I've got a little pale shaded area about half-way down Africa on the left hand side. Would that be you?

message 949: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Yep!

Nifty! Got anything from India? Don't remember if I looked at blogs last time I was there, though. Only had my kindle to access the net then.

You'll have hits from Azerbaijan soon!
