Philip Whiteland - the man behind Josiah and Archibald (which makes it sound like we're in a queue!)

Not a problem, Emma. I'm interested in the views of everyone here and it has the happy side effect of generating interest in the book ;-)
OK. Any comments on my pimp would be gratefully received :-)http://www.goodreads.com/photo/group/...

He's blinged out bad!!!
The story is set in the deep south of an unknown country! I had no clues for how a pimp would look in this unspecified place so went for what I know (ie. the cliche!!). I was about worried about skin colour! Is he too dark?

What does everyone else think?

Will sort that out. Am working on the maid at the moment :-)
Have added a lighter pimp to the collection herehttp://www.goodreads.com/photo/group/...
and started the Maid here, although I have done quite a lot since this piccie and she looks quite different!

Thanks for these, Emma. I like the pimp! With regard to the maid, she needs to have the appearance of one who has had an electric shock - so hair sticking out from her head and wild-eyed. Is that do-able?
Yep, I am sure that will be do-able!! I am struggling with her face at the moment so I think this may make that job easier too!!
HeHe I am just loving watch this all develop.Thank you Philip and Emma.P.S.When this gets published I am soooo buying a signed copy!
Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "Finally got round to giving you a review or two..."Thank you so much, GL. Very much appreciated and thanks for taking the time and trouble to do this. It couldn't have come at a better time as my sales died a horrible death yesterday!
Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "Well let's hope that revives them a bit."I've only just noticed that you've been kind enough to put the reviews on the U.S. Amazon site as well (I'm not the quickest off the mark, as you may have noticed). What can I say, other than that I'm well chuffed!
Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "Glad to hear it. :)Eagerly awaiting your next magnum opus!"
I wouldn't be too sure about that, GL. It's probably going to be Jambalaya ;-)
Stuart wrote: "It's great! Bit risque with the nipples!! ; )"Yeah, my flat mate kept saying they look like nips!!! Hmm, will have a look see what I can do! :-)
Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "I thought they were buttons. My pure mind...."They are GL, thank you :-) xxx
Stuart wrote: "It's great! Bit risque with the nipples!! ; )"Stu, she is a bit different now from the version I sent you the other night huh?
Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "I know - thats what I am eagerly awaiting!"More of a Magnum 'Opeless than a Magnum Opus I suspect ;-)
Emma wrote: "Stuart wrote: "It's great! Bit risque with the nipples!! ; )"Yeah, my flat mate kept saying they look like nips!!! Hmm, will have a look see what I can do! :-)"
Nipples indeed! Those of us who are pure in thought and deed did not consider that as a possibility.
I like it, but I think you could afford to be even more daring with the hair (perhaps sticking right out all over) and a little more wild-eyed perhaps?
Latest Derby Telegraph article. Have a look if you've got a spare moment. Comments on that site would be greatly appreciated ;-)http://www.thisisderbyshire.co.uk/Goi...

Many thanks to Emma and GL for taking the time to visit and like this. Much appreciated.
Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "Well I had to read something over lunch...."I feel used, like a fish and chip paper ;-)
Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "Do you now feel a bit crumpled...?"That is my constant condition!
Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "At least i did retrieve you from the bin..."Good point. Most don't bother ;-)
Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "You had a few tealeaves sticking to you, but I brushed them off..."I hope you know I was saving those for later.
Emma wrote: "Wilder Maid http://www.goodreads.com/photo/group/..."Thanks Emma. That's more what I had in mind.
