Philip Whiteland - the man behind Josiah and Archibald (which makes it sound like we're in a queue!)
I am just about to colour them in!! I kinda like just pen on paper so hope I don't ruin them with colour!! Will then scan in and have a play on photoshop to see what I can come up with. Any idea what the title of the book is?

Took ages cos. am having to re-acquaint myself with photoshop but I am quite pleased! Have started a mock up of the cover and colouring in Agnes right now :-)
Lol! I have messages him on Facebook too. I am sure he will be around in his own sweet time :-) I am having a ball with it so will carry on whether he uses them or not!
Teehee! Just trying to decide on colour of moustache!! Had it as white, which looks quite cool but makes him look quite old. I need Philip to help me make such decisions so will leave it as is for the time being. Will upload the coloured in version one complete :-)
Just got back from a few days away and can see there's been quite a lot of activity here! Haven't had time to look at anything yet - will catch up tomorrow.
Well!! That is just frustrating :-) Anyway, in the meantime, here is my coloured in Agnes

Thank you both. As I said I am just enjoying mucking about with them. Did I tell you that this is my first attempt at cartoons really. I am quite pleased with them :-) the southern belle is next and I am not happy with the face on it so will see what I can do when it is on the computer

He doesn't deserve you Ems. Bad Phillip! Bad, bad Phillip!
I can't wait to see the belle! I hope she has a really pointy nose!
I can't imagine Agnes with anything but a white moustache and brows.
I've had the briefest of glimpses and I'm very impressed Emma. Promise to reply in more detail tomorrow.
And finally the coloured in Southern Belle. Will wait for Philip before I do anything else!http://www.goodreads.com/photo/group/...

Well, you know! I am all about the cleavage ;-)
Yep. I agree. Blonde would prob end up looking yellow :-) will change it tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback :)
Hi Emma. Thanks for all of the great work you've done so far. I wish I had your talent! I particularly like Celany (the Southern Belle) and Thunder.I think it might be useful if you had the synopsis of the whole book so that you can get a fuller picture of the various characters. I can't think of a way of getting the document to you easily, so I think the best way is if you go to my out of date and decrepit web site at www.philwhiteland.co.uk (which I can't update any longer) - there you'll find an email address for me. If you send me an email, I'll reply with the synopsis attached.
Thanks again for all of the hard work. Thanks also to everyone here for their comments. It's becoming quite a co-operative effort isn't it?
OK, synopsis received and I have emailed Philip a new Agnes. I quite like getting everyones opinon so without giving too much away...... Agnes needed to be younger. Let me know what you thinkhttp://www.goodreads.com/photo/group/...
And as per Patti's suggestion. Celany with different hair colourhttp://www.goodreads.com/photo/group/...
Great Emma, really like the cartoons. They make me want to read the book even more.Any idea when it will be ready Philip?

Perfect!

Not really at the moment. The best I can say is it will be later this year. I need to reformat all of the text and do some final editing, which will take some time.
The interest in this has rather surprised and overtaken me, so I haven't really planned anything out.

Am currently working on your pimp Philip (teehee, that sounded so funny in my head that I had to share) :-)

There's no answer to that, as the late lamented Eric Morecambe would have said. I think the only two other characters that need to be illustrated would be the Judge (who I thought of as a sort of Colonel Sanders Kentucky Fried Chicken type) and the hero.
