I'm a great believer in uncontrolled giggles!

Thanks a lot. I'm in a bit of a quandary now because I hadn't intended to publish this one at all! Hmmm.

Of course publish it."
I'll be guided by you, Patti ;-)
It will need to be properly formatted and I'll need a cover of some sort...decisions, decisions!

That'd be fun!"
Ok, it's a deal! As this has already been touted around a number of publishers and literary agents (albeit, many years ago) there should be a blurb somewhere. I'll dig it out.

Blurb to follow here shortly.

It’s a time of Civil War. A time of cowboys and soldiers, riverboats and gamblers, genteel Southern Belles and dark deeds.
Celany Garden had it all – big house, doting wealthy parent and not one but two devoted lovers. So why is she being pursued by some particularly inept kidnappers, what has happened to her maid and where does an Army Major who thinks he’s called Agnes fit into all of this? Can Celany find the answers before the law, the army and a particularly enthusiastic posse? Everything hinges on a flatulent little horse called Thunder, a General who hates loud noises and a psychopathic Marshall with a penchant for torture. Gone with the Wind was never like this!

Is it a short or full length novel Philip?

Is it a short or full length novel Philip?"
It's about 80,000 words in length.

I think the cover might require a horse on it..."
My thoughts exactly, Patti. I suppose, in an ideal world, it would look something like the covers for the Tom Sharpe books?

Pips everywhere then, GL?

Bright primary colours, I think.

Bright primary colours, I think."
Yes, I think that would suit the silliness of the content. The problem is, I'm not in the least bit artistic!

And no, they were seedless grapes, thank goodness ;)

Says she who doesn't know one end of a computer from the other!

You could call it 'Where do you get your cover art', Phil.

I like your blurb, but it might be stronger without the adjectives (hope you don't mind me mentioning).

Or an Agnes.

Thanks for taking the time and trouble to suggest this. The blurb and everything else are still the same as when I abandoned the project back in 2000, so a revisit is probably necessary.

Hi Emma, yes it is.
GL - thanks for the input.

You and me both, Patti.

I have also had a go at Agnes, the Army Major and will add that in a minute. I have used Royalty Free art as a template (can't draw cartoons from my head!)
Edit, just realised that sounds like I traced the drawings. I did not. I drew them but had a couple of piccies up on my computer screen to use as inspiration!
