Susan Mallery (susanmallery) | 10 comments You're welcome! Oh, I have some other fun news for you... I'm going to have some temporary tattoos made for the 2012 Fool's Gold books, featuring cowboy heroes. The tattoos will be giveaways for readers. Just a little FYI to whet your appetites. ;)

Melissa (cx3ane) | 85 comments I am Melissa. Just found this group. I started with the Lone Star Sisters. Then I went to the Fool's Gold Series, Bakery Sisters, then back to the Fool's Gold series. I am now in the Buchanan series. Fool's Gold is my series. I can not wait for the next 3 books to come out.

It's so good to see other readers and Susan fans from my home state! :)

Kelly Lynn (lemonpink418) | 189 comments I feel like I should re-introduce myself since I've been MIA since about October!! My work life gets hectic during hockey season and now that it is winding down I finally have time for the things I enjoy, like reading!! And since I read Blackberry Island over the weekend it reminded me how much I missed having people to chat about these fabulous books with!

So I'm Kelly, a 29-year old readaholic from the Philadelphia area!

message 107: by ~Jennifer~ (new)

~Jennifer~ (book_addiction) Hi Kelly!

message 108: by [deleted user] (new)

Don't worry, I still remember you Kelly:) I have to say that I just recently started watching hockey. Go figure, I'm probably the only person in Hawaii to watch it.. Damn those Flyers... I was rooting for Pittsburgh. LOL

message 109: by Kelly Lynn (new)

Kelly Lynn (lemonpink418) | 189 comments Haha I heard about that game all night! I was working at my part-time job so I missed it! I need to see some replays of the melee at the end!

And just think, there could be seven more of those games if Pittsburgh plays Philadelphia in the playoffs!

message 110: by [deleted user] (new)

I was just gonna ask what your take was on it. If I remember correctly, you're a sports writer?

message 111: by Shellbelle (new)

 Shellbelle | 1168 comments Mod
Glad to see you in here again Kelly! And Barefoot Season was another amazing SM book. Now I'm really looking forward to the new Fool's Gold trilogy!

message 112: by Kelly Lynn (new)

Kelly Lynn (lemonpink418) | 189 comments I am a sports writer, mostly hockey, so the Penguins-Flyers matchup intrigues me!! I personally like the fighting in hockey, it makes it entertaining and fun, but I know a lot of people don't. That game was full of cheap shots on both sides though.

And thanks Shell!! I was most definitely impressed with Barefoot Season and am eagerly awaiting those California Cowboys in Fools Gold!!

message 113: by [deleted user] (new)

I really like the fighting in hockey. Keeps it interesting. LOL

I can't wait for the next books in the Fools Gold series. These are probably my favorite books by SM.

message 114: by Jeanette (new)

Jeanette (cha_cha78) Carolyn: I am from Oahu, raised in Kalihi but graduated from Aiea. And you probably are the only one from Hawaii to watch hockey because I know I didn't. LOL.

message 115: by [deleted user] (last edited Apr 05, 2012 07:10PM) (new)

No shit!!! What year? I'm '99 grad from Aiea. Lived in Makaha though.

message 116: by Jeanette (new)

Jeanette (cha_cha78) LOL. I grad in '96 but you're between my brother & sister. My brother grad in '98 and my sister in '01. We don't have the same last names and I'm married so my name isn't what it was in high school. You traveled a ways to get to school...Aiea wasn't THAT great!

message 117: by [deleted user] (new)

Ha! I always went to school in Aiea. St. Elizabeths, the catholic school there then to AHS. My mom worked in Halawa so I had a GE.

message 118: by Jeanette (new)

Jeanette (cha_cha78) Ahh, Halawa...memories! :)

Karen (karenbozzi) | 1 comments Hello, My name is Karen, from Littleton, MA. I love a good romance novel and have been reading them since the 80's. Lisa Kleypas got me started and I have enjoyed finding new writers since then. Susan's Fools Gold series has set my heart in CA.

message 122: by Brenda (new)

Brenda Rumsey | 8 comments Hi, I'm Brenda from Tulsa, OK. I love reading several types of books but give me a book with romance, suspense, and happy endings and I always want more. Susan's Fool's Gold series takes you to a small town where everyone knows your business and love you anyway. SUMMER DAYS was a great read. Can't wait for SUMMER NIGHTS and ALL SUMMER LONG.

message 123: by Melissa (new)

Melissa (cx3ane) | 85 comments I posted earlier in the year, but I briefly posted. I wanted to add more.

Hi! I am Melissa. A proud Cheerleader for Susan Mallery!! I live north of Pittsburgh, PA. Home of the Pittsburgh Penguins! I am the mom to 3 kids. Ashleigh is 12 (tomorrow) & has spastic paraparesis (neurological disease). Noah is 8. Ethan is 3. I am disabled due to a work injury. We have 2 huskies: Zeus, 7, & Bolt, 5 months.

I love reading because it is my "Me Time" when the kids are in bed. I get to escape to somewhere else for a little bit. Favorite genre is Romance.

I started with the Lone Star Sisters. Then I went to the Fool's Gold Series, Bakery Sisters, & Buchanan series. Fool's Gold is my favorite series.

I read Summer Days. While I wait for Summer Nights, I am going to read Chasing Perfect again!

message 127: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Horton | 2 comments Hi! My name is Shannon and I'm currently living in Pickerington, OH, which is right outside of Columbus, OH. I'm a military brat so I really can't say I'm from any one place, but if I had to pick I'd say the Seattle area since I lived there for many years and much of my family has settled there. Now I'm a military spouse and call Columbus home right now. I'm very excited to be part of the 2012 Cheerleading Squad for the first time.
I find myself leaning towards Charity with that itch from childhood to settle down in one place, but my professional and motherly organizational side is more like Pia. I have 2 daughters age 9 and 6 yrs old. I work full-time most times more than full time at a fashion company home office, which keeps me traveling to NYC most months. So between my husband's deployments and my traveling job, reading has become great relaxation for me. This chaos makes me feel closer to Pia if I had to pick.

message 130: by Kortney (new)

Kortney (baxterfan23) | 6 comments My name is Kortney and I am really not a new member to the group but haven't had a chance to post a note on here. I currently live in WI. What originally brought me to this page was that Susan recommended it! I was like if she recommended it, it has to be good. The first book that I read was Chasing perfect. After that I have read every single Fool's Gold book in the series.

Alisha (regencygirl01) | 12 comments I am a new cheerleader this year. My name is Alisha an I live in the home of Walmart. NW Arkansas. I discovered Susan's books at the library. I am in process of reading them all.

message 134: by Melissa (new)

Melissa (cx3ane) | 85 comments Alisha- Welcome. I am a new Cheeleader, too. I am having a lot of fun!! If you have an ereader, let me know. I can tell you how to get a library card from local libraries around you. I have one from the other side of my state. Plus one from Pittsburgh. It just depends on your state. Here in Pa, you just need a blue sticker to get it free in other libraries. My local library now has ebooks. I have 3 libraries now I can choose from to get ebooks if I can not buy them, but the waiting lists can be long. I had to buy Barefoot because I was #70 on the list.

message 135: by Alisha (new)

Alisha (regencygirl01) | 12 comments I don't have an ereader yet. and I hate sitting at computer to read. I have an amazon gift card I won I think I am going to put that toward an ereader

Lisa Thanks again Shell ;-) ..... it's only 7:15 am here in Maine and I'm already staring at my front door waiting on my Kindle to arrive...lol...sad state of affairs !! Normally, I would tote myself and my kiddos to the beach, but it looks like rain today which kind of gives me a great excuse to make it a day of reading (oh, and laundry, dishes, cooking.....fun fun !)

Marie~Book-Crazi | 9 comments Hi everybody,

THE BASICS: My Name is Marie and I live in England, UK. I'm married with 3 children & a Dog (who thinks she is also one of the children). I'm also a part time School Administrator.

WHY YOU ♥ READING!: I love pretty much all types of Romance. I have been reading as a hobby ever since I was put on bed rest while pregnant with my youngest and there was nothing on the TV. I've loved reading ever since, and can't believe I never got into it sooner!!

FIRST SUSAN MALLERY BOOK!: I have just started my first ever SM book, Chasing Perfect, and I can't put it down. I was given the book by a friend who is emigrating and has had to downsize her paperback horde.

HOW DID YOU FIND THIS GROUP?: I joined Goodreads to keep track of what I'm reading and to get recommendations. When I searched for some friendly groups, I browsed them all and this one came up after afew pages, so here I am.

message 147: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Welcome Marie ! I'm new here also and wish I would have found this site a lot sooner. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and it's been great getting so many reccomendations for so many wonderful books. I've yet to read Susan Mallery, although, her Fools Gold Series is definitely on my list. Just starting a book by Jude Deveraux, but after that I'm looking forward to reading her books. Welcome again !
