DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2 MOVIE!!!

Personally?: Didn't cry, did get a happy shiver at Mrs. Weaslys line. The Voldemort hug? Werid! I was hoping they would reveal a little more about Dumbeldore in general, with the Hallows and family stuff but, oh well.
Movie overall?: It was good I guess. I'm glad I read the books and have a more deep understanding of the story line, than the people who just watch the movies.

I totally agree about reading the books. The one thing that pissed me off:
THE ELDER WAND!!! I was waiting for the whole scene with the repair of his old wand NOT the whole:
"So whose wand is it now?"
"Mine." ***SNAP*** (sound of Harry breaking the wand in 2 and throwing it off the edge)
I swear, I was so close to pushing him off that stupid ledge that he was standing on.
But, on happier note, besides everyone in the theatre reading aloud the words "19 years later" (Gawd, that pissed me off so much. I'm like "People! Read in your head!") How funny was it to see everyone dressed up as grown ups? Tom Felton as Malfoy had me laughing for at least 10 minutes.

ps: go mrs weasley: "NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU BITCH!"

I know! Voldemort hugging was just to awkward! Even for Voldemort!

Two things really peeved me:
The fight between Voldemort and Harry. There was no fantastic wand waving, no jumping off of cliffs, or anything all "action movie like" in there. There was tension, thought, and intrigue, which the movie completely missed.
HARRY SNAPPED THE ELDER WAND!?!?!?!?! Did no one else think that the "most powerful wand in the world" shouldn't be snapped and thrown over the edge of the castle?? I just don't know why they couldn't have followed the details in the book, and taken it to the headmasters office to talk to Dumbledore.
Not to mention all the tiny details like: where is Teddy Lupin?, why do they still have Basilisk fangs?, what was that building that was supposed to be the shrieking shack?
And I cried for a long time in the book when Harry used the resurrection stone, but the movie just left me wanting more there.
Sorry about the rant, but I have needed it.

YES!!!! I love Molly's line!!!!

I know! Harry was supposed to put the Elder Wand behind Dumbledore's portrait! He didn't SNAP it in half! And thay didn't show him fixing his Phoenix Wand!!!!! ARRGGHHH!

Same! The books and movies downgraded as the series went along. I forced myself through book 7 because it was the finale and everyone spoke about how great it was... It was so slowwwww. Half of the book could've been thrown out. And that was a pitiful excuse for an epilogue. Book 7 could've been 1 movie but of course they want our $$$.
Movie = 3/5 Stars

Snape's death scene and his memories made me cry a little. I did think the fighting went on for a little too long. Some parts didn't make sense to me because I hadn't read the seventh book yet. (I will soon)
That awkward hug with Malfoy and Voldemort cracked me up xD

Why exactly is Snape called the Half-Blood Prince?
My parents have the book set and I can get to them right now to re-read to find what I missed! (or forgot somehow)
Love love loved! This movie!!!!

I agree, my favorite too. I read the book only twice, but the last conversation between Harry and Voldermort more than 15 times. I was so expecting that in the movie and disappointed to see Harry explain the part to Hermioni and Ron eventually. Even though I disagree some parts of the movie, I try to understand movie makers. I believe that they have shown some actions and heroism, because movie watchers expect a hero so badly. Irrespective of the heroism, I believe we readers love the plot, details, and flow of story. It was my understanding. Please, correct me if I am wrong.

YES!! I noticed all those little details too. And the big things...it got on my nerves.

Why exactly is ..."
Snape is called the Half-Blood Prince because his mother's maiden name is Prince, then she married Snape's father, a muggle. So he's a half-blood. And he nick-named himself 'The Half-Blood Prince.'

Kaleigh...thank you so much! I completely forgot that part of the book! I appreciate it. :-)

Bottom line, the readers get more out of the series than anyone, I'm so glad I have been part of this experience.
BTW...What the heck is Pottermore? The video said almost nothing.

I actually couldn't disagree with you more. I repeat my issues with this film, the Voldemort fight scene, and the elder wand. Rereading the last two (or so) chapters reveals how poorly they stuck to the book in this movie.

Your welcome. :) @ Vera. Yeah I know! I can understand they had to make a few changes, but, feeling the horcruxes die? Making Vlodemort HUG somebody????? I mean what's with that? Pretty humiliating to Voldemort if you ask me.

Yes. I loved it overall. If you spread it out....not really. Together, YES.

Reading the book is awesome but it's even better when you see it all come to live on screen.I was hyperventilating through the entire thing and i couldn't just sit still! I just kept telling myself: "ok breathe. Just breathe." I felt like I was gonna explode any second.
MY favourite part was Snape's death and his memories. OMFG. The director is a FREAKIN GENIUS! It was even better than the book. I broke when Harry put his hand on Snape's neck. I was practicaly sobbing by that point. I wanted to scream, scream at Snape not to die. And when he cried......
Snape cried. And I wanted to die.
I always knew he loved Lily, but I nvr paid much attention to that part. At least until the scene when Snape finds Lily dead. It was the most heartbreaking thing I have ever seen.
There were some parts I loved that they cut out, but I guess they didn't really have a choice. I really wished they could've made the movie like 6 hours long just so they can keep every little part. I really wish they kept the huge celebration part at the end. And Dumbledore's story. I wish they focused a bit more on fred's death. I mean, when I read the book, that was the part that made me cry most. Like for hours. I also wish they kept the part with the Carrows, when one of them spits at Mcgonigal and Harry reveals himself and uses the Cruciatus curse on him. That was like awesome! And the part where they all stand up against that girl who screams after Voldemort's message:"He's right there! Someone grab him!" could've been a bit more dramatic like it was in the book. But overall, the movie was kinda perfect.
They added some lines that were out of the book as well, and although I don't approve the improvisation, I can't deny they were pretty awesome.
OMFG I LOVE HARRY POTTER!! FOREVER AND ALWAYS <3
