Ugh, I haven't been reading as much as I would want lately. University is taking a shitload of my time...
I'm trying as hard as I can to finish my first-in-series book, Geomancer.

I was really hoping

For some reason, I know I should read Dragon Bound, but I can't get into the idea of reading it. Not sure why.
ETA
Okay, trying to decide between these and I have all of them on my kindle -- so it is just a matter of choosing!

I read this last post, and it totally wiped out my dragon book even though I posted right above it! Holy crap that's bad!!

It was an enjoyable book, but not perfect. In the last book it ended with the dragon (William) turning back to human coming out of a building as a naked scruffy man walking straight up to the main female(Maddy) in this book and kissing her infront of everyone.
Maddy is the lone nurse of her shift running a nursing home. There are other employees, but she is the one who is with the old people. They go on trips, give her advise & they all love William who does all kinds of great things for them. Back in his day old people were respected. Maddy has a 9 y/o daughter who William gives advise to. It's full of funny little quirps.
The trouble that follows these characters is a witch that does not like interference. She turned all of these characters into something ugly of their time so they learn a lesson. Each of them have treated a certain witch bad. They get jerked through time to find help from the Highlanders of the earlier series.
Come to find out there is also another antagonist in this book, but that would be a spoiler. The old priest is in this book, and he is the funniest side character in the story.

I read Siege by Rhiannon Frater

5 stars
I freaking LOVED this book and this series. I need to write out long reviews of each of these books, I am hoping to do that right before the release of each one through the new publication. This book has it all. Very well drawn characters, in depth relationships, consequences for choices, tough solutions – there is never a pat or an easy answer for anything. Rhiannon Frater has created an amazingly dynamic and complex world with her “As the World Dies” trilogy. It is a group of people who have banded together to fight the end of the world – both zombies, the military stragglers and bandits. I can’t say enough how much I love this book and this trilogy. I plan to re-read it soon.

I loved this series...read it in order, will auto buy

Review: This is the 7th book in the series, so I'll keep my review short to avoid spoilers. I really like this series. It's a lesser known/read UF series from what I've seen. But, because of it's low focus on romance and great action/mysteries throughout, I think those who enjoy UF would enjoy it. Anna's gone through many changes throughout the series. In this book, she has a big decision to make. I was so happy to see more of Frey, one of my favorite characters in the series. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Review: I really enjoyed this one. It was a fun read! Whatever you think you know about these two before starting this book is nothing compared to what's offered inside it. Carling, her history, and her struggle were more interesting than I'd expected. I felt sorry for her, but admired her strength. I cannot imagine living 4,000+ years. No wonder things have lost their appeal to her and very little intrigues her --- except Rune's behavior. ;) And, I knew I liked Rune, but Thea really brought him to life in this one. His easy-going personality and sense of humor was the perfect match to her (initial) coldness and detachment. Can't wait for the next book -- what happens when you mix Oracle & Djinn? ;) Can't wait to find out. I was surprised to see Khalil would be next to get his HEA, but he's been an interesting character since we first read about him. I know his pairing with the Oracle should be another fun Elder Races read. I'm thrilled to have started this series - more thrilled that Thea's been so nice to us and published three books so close together.

This is the second book in the Charley Davidson series in which Charley is searching for a missing womann for her friend, Cookie, as well as Reyes' body. There is a perfect balance between the paranormal elements, the mystery and the humor that makes the story very entertaining. Charley is my favorite character with all of her witty sarcasm, but Charley's sidekick, Cookie, is always good for a laugh too. Reyes is very mysterious and I hope more is revealed about him as the series continues. I enjoy his banter back and forth with Charley and hope a romance between them is further developed in the next book.

I enjoyed this book, but not quite as much as Dragon Bound. I just didn't feel the connection between Tricks and Tiago was as strong as it was with Dragos and Pia. The action also seemed slower in parts of this book. I still love the world this author has created and will definitely be reading Rune's book next. I also look forward to Aryal's story whenever it comes along.

For angels, I have three possibilities sitting on my TBR at home and I haven't made up my mind yet.

I'll probably check back in tomorrow with my dragon review and I'll let you know then what I decided to read.

One thing that still sucked as usual was the cover. NONE of these books have had a cover with the hair color or length of any character in any of these books. OH! And the angel in this one... Her wings were burned off. BUT they are on the cover. Well, so much for that rant. Since I know she can't pick her covers, I did not doct stars.
This was a good story of Conner's redemption & an angel stripped of her wings who choses if she will go back to heaven or not. A few people become vamps who you don't expect & there is a sad death of an on going character. I was so sad! BUT, the next book may fix it a little, who knows. I will start that later today.
There are a lot of pieces to this story that are climactic ends, addition to the vamp coven, & shifting sides, If I am specific, it is a spoiler, so this is all. The romance was smooth and fit perfect. It was pretty funny at times too.

Anyway, I've chosen

Hope everyone is having a great week! Go, Team, Go!

Hope everyone's enjoying their reads! :D
Wonder if there'll be a winner this Sunday?! I haven't ck'd to see, but I'd imagine there can't be many (if any) shelves left w/OUT a winner.

For us, if we get Vampires -- we can win. :) We can win bingo if the next shelf is post apocalypic and we finish either angesl (then bingo if we finish post apoc!) or first in series AND Dragons (and then bing if we finish post apoc!).

4 Stars for Incarceron
This book was pretty interesting. It's some kind of futuristic adventure steampunk mash-up. There is a wonderfully subtle romance, which I though rather refreshing for a young-adult book. Looking forward to read the second book in this series.

I am hoping for a vampire shelf this week!

DIRECT LINK: Goodreads author
This shelf gives TWO teams BINGO ~ Double Trouble (#2) and Serious Series Sluts (#3). But, Double Trouble first needs to get their 'dragons' stamp, whereas SSS only needs to read, rate & review their books for this shelf to win.
Good luck to both teams! Happy Reading!

Happy Reading, All! :D
