Mary I have just started reading this but have read all of her other 11 books regarding this private investigator, V. I. Warshawski -- American crime fiction.

Geoffrey Yes, I have commented on this book on another thread. It is first rate, one of the best murder mysteries I have ever read. I put her up there with Eric Ambler, P.D. James, G.D.Chesterton, Christie, etc.
