Yep it is so I will use.

I'll be reading

Book: My Soul to Take by Rachel Vincent
Completed: 9/3
Shelf: Demons
Rating: ★★★★☆
Review: I'll say this, it was definitely better than I thought it would be. I'm finding lately that a lot of young adult books are following the Twilight method in terms of plot, so I'm genuinely hesitant when reading any YA paranormal books. However, this one was pretty interesting & I'm a complete sucker for any book that includes the fae/sidhe folklore. I really don't have much to complain about except for the fact that I wished the author would have broken away from common high school/YA character stereotypes. The whole popular mean girl scene is geting old, as well as the "hottest guy in school" bit. I would say that I'm most intrigued about the reapers, especially Tod. There's a whole lot of history that I'm looking forward to reading. Hopefully the next book will offer up some answers.

Lover Revealed (4.5*)
(Re)Read: 09/04/2011
I love this series. It's like crack.
I still love Butch O'Neill's story. Poor guy was stuck in so many ways and I'm so glad that he got his HEA early on. I do wish that Vishous hadn't been so tortured in this book. (I read BDB 5 first, so he's special to me). I loved what interactions we had with the Scribe Virgin, even though I still don't like her. After finishing this again, I can't wait to get all caught up with Rhev and JM again.
Third read-through of this series and I'm still a dedicated lesser skimmer. I can't help it.

This is what happens when I post from my phone."
Well noticed Mary! I missed that :)

I liked the first two book in this series but I've gone to full-on love with this one. It's the most emotionally compelling yet as we get fleshed out back stories on many of the people in Kate's life and a lot more information on her heritage and upbringing as well. We've grown to love and trust these people along with Kate. And when I think of how isolated she was in the first book compared to this one, you can see the character growth on all sides. Plus now I am fully ready to jump on the Curran bandwagon. I love the dance that he and Kate are involved in. And while this didn't end on a cliffhanger at all the last page definitely has me chomping at the bit for the next book, which I'll be reading sooner rather than later.

Book: Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins
Completed: 9/5
Shelf: Supernatural
Rating: ★★★★★
Review: I am honestly surprised at how much I loved this book! The blend of humor from Sophie & her magical interactions with the rest of the students had me laughing out loud. I found the boarding school atmosphere to be relatable, but it never became too cliché for me, which is what usually happens with most YA novels I happen to read. The book ended on quite the interesting cliffhanger and unfortunately, my library has quite the waitlist for the sequel. A feel like a bit of the race & magic mechanics could have been fleshed out a tad more, but it didn't take me too much out of the story and hopefully, that will be rectified in the next book. I can understand not wanting to overload the reader on background, especially if the books are directed to a younger, teenage audience.

No worries. At least you're still reading. :)
Just FYI: If we're still playing in October, my reading will be painfully slow since I watch 100 horror movies that month. I'll be going from 3-5 books a week to 1-2.

True, but at times its beginning to feel like a chore. I had a lot of books selected over at PBS in the games and I'm thinking I may have to set some free without reading them to bring my stress levels back in line. ;-) I have 6 books to read by next Tuesday (9/13) not counting the new shelf to come on Saturday. How do I get myself in this position? LOL!
Christina, so what are you watching 100 horror movies for? Some kind of October/Halloween challenge? Enquiring minds want to know.

Then there are the 12 additional books I've promised to ladies from the Erotica TBR Swap......Too bad we don't have a BDSM shelf.

Yeah, I do it every year. It's an October challenge on livejournal. I've always loved horror movies and I try to mostly watch movies I've never seen before.
I look forward to it all year long but it leaves little time to do anything but watch movies. My boys are a little excited because I told them they can watch some with me this year. Not all, of course (they are only 12) but it means I won't be locked in my room for 31 days. :D
My List

AFter this week, 2 teams will have a bingo opportunity with the next shelf announcement. Team 2 and us.
BINGO CARDS_ALL TEAMS

My library has 3 of the books I need to mail out so I think at this point I'm just going to mail them and read the library copies. I'm almost finished with the 1 book my library doesn't have.

I'm still reading the Demons book. But I'm reading it with my daughter and trying not to get too ahead of her. I wasn't rushing with it since at this point the spot doesn't do much for us. But if one of the spots near it gets called this weekend-I'll make sure I get a Demon books read ASAP.

I’m not sure about this author’s trend of ending a book on a WTF plot twist, they absolutely drive me crazy. Especially when the next book in the series isn’t being released in the near future. Corine is back and Shady Lady is full of action, plot twists and turns. I was a bit disappointed that Jesse nor Chance make an appearance in the beginning of the book but ended up being pleasantly surprised by Kel’s significant contribution to the story. After Hell Fire, I wasn’t sure about his character, but I think I am in love with him now! Ms. Aguirre portrayal of him was amazing and the threads she wove regarding his background were inspiring. I so want him to end up with Corine, even though I know it’s a longshot. The storyline here is fast paced and drew me in. I barely put the book down from start to finish; always a good thing for me. I don’t want to say too much about the ending since I think each and everyone should have the chance to read it first hand, but needless to say, I am expectantly waiting the release of Devil’s Punch in April 2012.

:) I marathon on the weekends.

I'm top heavy too, so I understand. I wear a bra, a sports bra and then a bra top when I run but I meant movie marathon. I only run on a treadmill, in the air-conditioning. Or when being chased... lol

No worries. Its just that I'm more likely to spend a beautiful weekend inside playing video games than outside running. ;)

That's what happened with the 'demons' shelf.

Of the 19 that I picked that are still left (not read for another shelf) I own 9, so I'm ready to go.

I hope you enjoy it Christina, I absolutely loved it :)

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is the second book in the Alex Craft series. I absolutely loved the first book so I had very high expectations for this one and the author did a great job of meeting them . . . mostly.
When several left feet are discovered Alex, a grave witch, is called in by the police to consult as she can raise the spirit of the dead to find out what happened to them. The problem is with so little body Alex cant do her job. Alex has also recently found out that she is feykin and is trying to figure out what that means for her life. With the help of her friends, the yummy winter fey queens knight and the delectable soul collector she calls Death, Alex must find out what is happening and fast!
This book was a little slow to start for me and to be honest I'm not entirely sure why, I simply struggled but once I got passed the first few chapters I was as hooked as I was with the first booked. The action flows brilliantly and the characters are great, Alex is particularly likeable for me as she is so normal and flounders when she is shoved into unusual situations which makes it more realistic for me. Falin is a puzzle for me I honestly can't decide if I like him or not and I'm not entirely sure it's not because I'm a little bit in love with Death, the soul collector, but I would like to have seen more of him and I was expecting more of a development in the relationship between Alex and Death.
Overall I really enjoyed the second installment of this series. It is a great urban fantasy story with action, mystery, emotion and intrigue! I am looking forward to the next Alex Craft tale.

We are going to see Wicked tonight but I plan to spend tomorrow reading. And this afternoon if I can.

I really just got this for the Breeds story. But I had to read the whole thing to count it for an erotica challenge on paperbackswap. I'm not into the other series in the book so the stories weren't all that interesting to me. Not enough to make want to start the other series. But I liked it enough to finish the book. Of course my favorite story was The Breed Next Door by Lora Leigh. But I already knew that world.
