R3 TEAM THREAD: Team #3 ~ Serious Series Sluts

Isn't the Hunger Games a great series. It was totally not my normal style of reading either, but my daughters gifted teacher recommended it to me... and I was hooked. Cannot wait to see the movie!

I finished

Guess I'll try to finish Visions of Heat for the alpha male shelf.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Off to browse the shifter shelf!! Report back soon, this one should be easier... LOVE those hot shifters!!

Just got home from my cousin's house. Kind of a mini family reunion. Talked and played cards mostly. Be back soon with my choice.

Probably reading Infected: Prey for the shifter shelf since I seem to have misplaced Into the Lair once again...... IF, no make that WHEN I find it again, it isn't leaving my hands or my book bag until it has been read, packaged up, and is in the mail and on it's way to it's new home! SHEESH!!!!! Just how hard can it be to find 1 book?????

With that being said, I am picking a tried & true series - so for my shifters book I am picking

Alyssa!!!!! How did I miss this? What are you wishing for now sweetie?

- Corinne was raped by Dragos and had a baby boy about 13 years ago
- Hunter was fathered by Dragos and some woman
- Now Corinne and Hunter are kinda getting along
So... Corinne's gonna get down and dirty with father and son, and it looks like Hunter's gonna be the baby's half brother and stepdaddy.
Is this supposed to be sexy?... maybe I'm not in the mood...

You now have an updated BINGO card with a stamp on 'dark'.
[Your new BINGO card can be viewed on page 1]
Good Job!! :D

Date finished: August 22,2011
Rating: ★★ 1/2
Review: Yep this one was kind of cheesy. It did have some good parts such as the men's strong family bond and relationship. I really enjoyed the pack hierarchy and political challenge even if the climax was completely predictable. The relationship development of the main couple and their mating seemed rushed as did other parts through out. Guess I was a little disappointed since I really like her Stormwalker series written as Allyson James, and this one fell short of my expectations.

Into the Lair by Maya Banks was an intense romp. Katie only trusts 1 man - her brother Gabe. When he misses calling her, she fears the worst has happened and gets prepared to run, again. Before she gets far, 2 men capture her and say that Gabe sent them.
Plenty of story here to go with the scorching sex. No M/M action, but plenty of almost anything you can think of involving M/F/M. Very light BDSM (bonus!). Sexy shifters, very hard headed Alpha female, bad guys galore, and an avalanche. What more could you want?
Would love to read another story with these folks, but sadly, nothing seems to be coming..... :(

Y'all, I'm struggling soooo much with Visions of Heat. I cannot get into it. I'm seriously considering changing my alpha-male book because, frankly, if this wasn't a Bingo book, I'd have given up long ago. I don't find either of the main characters interesting and there is too much boring "psychic" blather. I'll let ya know if I find another book to read.
ETA: Yup, I'm switching my alpha-male book to

@Jessica you never know, the Anita series might take a shift and you'll end up with "hotness" overload.

I enjoyed the book. (Holy crap, it was steamy though!) I think the hero delved a little bit too far into asshole territory sometimes, although he usually apologized for it later. I would have liked more relationship development and less sex. There was menage sex, but besides making the book hotter, there was no point to it. It added nothing to the plot. I am planning on reading more in the series, if only because the set-ups and the (obvious) future couples seem more compelling than Colby and Channing were. I did enjoy the rodeo bits. Problem numero uno with this book: the hero's name is Colby. Same name as my younger brother. Eww. Just eww. I didn't count off any stars for that though. LOL

*sighs*
This week was crazy, insane and... let's just say I'm sooo happy it's saturday after 3 pm.
I promise, promise I'll do my best to catch up with it this weekend...
Oh! and I'll be reading The Darkest Secret by Gena Showalter for the demons shelf.

Yay! We're reading the same one!

Sets off to rescue her friends boyfriend...lots of craziness going on with her but PB does a great job with keeping you guessing love it

For the Demons shelf I will be reading

Not really one of my favorites... the whole situation was waaay too weird.. I like Hunter and I think he deserves to be happy even more than the others, that being said, why did he have to pick Corinne?
I mean... she had a baby with Hunter's father, even the Gen One can't really be counted as a father, and now Hunter's gonna be the boy's stepdaddy??.... and, of course, half brother.
It was funny the author didn't mention this, like if she didn't acknowledge this it would go away or the readers wouldn't notice.
Great to know the little bit about Hunter, that was interesting, also Chase's story is next and I'm wondering what's her Breedmate power.. I mean, she has to be a Breedmate, right?

Cindy, I know you're a hell of a Grandma so enjoy this day a little bit more than any other... and if there's another one reading, congraaaaats!
All the other non-nana's here, let's raise our glasses to these amazing and wonderful women... SALUUUUUUD!!!

My house is small and it sometimes causes problems with so many people in it all the time. The heat is unbearable, so everybody stays in...... I'm very thankful that I don't have to do the cooking too! Besides, other than a couple of "specialities" he is at least as good a cook as I am, and he doesn't mind doing it.
