Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments LOLOL I was wondering the same thing! I finally found one with 3 "s" letters. At least it is family friendly.....

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments So far Jessica and Lili vote for Serious Series Sluts. It's my favorite too - especially since I usually call myself a bookslut!

3 votes for Serious Series Sluts. If someone objects to it - please let us know. Don't want to offend anyone. It could be changed to Serious Series Sirens if the word slut is objectionable.

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments LOL Jessica - if it was just the 2 of us we could be Twin Booksluts!!!

I'm part of an erotica group at PBS. We tend to use words like bookslut often. I don't think it has a negative connotation, but others might!

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 1143 comments I rather like Serious Series Sluts -

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Just Lis and Christy left. Christy doesn't have her computer back yet (i'm guessing) and she said she didn't care.

Unless Lis objects I think we have a name!

Lis | 4037 comments That's fine

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments So - Captain Jessica - looks like we have a name!!!

I'm getting kinda antsy. I've got 4 books that I have to read before I mail them out for games at PBS. It's driving me crazy cuz I don't know which one to get started with! Just glad that we'll have all week to read the first couple of books. By the time someone gets in position to Bingo, I should be able to just read whatever fits the shelf without worrying about having to read certain books first!

message 58: by Lis (new)

Lis | 4037 comments I've also picked up several new books and am patiently holding off since they will be quick reads and fit bookshelf categories. Soooo tough to wait... Big *SIGH* I am reading a few that have been sitting on my TBR pile for over a year... But come on Sunday... Pace, pace, pace...

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Yes - you need to let Steph know about the name AND that you are our Captain.

SIGH.........

Now it's just a waiting game. Hurry up Sunday!!!!

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Didn't Steph spring for the Pergo floors with a warranty of like a gazillion years?????

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Steph fixed our name......it's so pretty!

message 62: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments When I saw the group name, I just knew you were in it, Cindy. Lol. :-P

message 63: by Lili (new)

Lili | 297 comments Yeeeeeeeeeeei!!!
We have a name! and I must say I like it better than the other ones...

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Aw shucks! *blushes* Don't you wish your Grandma was a bookslut too????

message 65: by Crystal S (new)

Crystal S (crystalann) | 487 comments Yay! I'm a Slut. Still no computer. DISLIKE. Also *whispers* my name is Crystal, not Christy ;-)

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Crystal S wrote: "Yay! I'm a Slut. Still no computer. DISLIKE. Also *whispers* my name is Crystal, not Christy ;-)"

*smacks forehead* Sorry......that post was BC (before coffee)

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Hellooooooo........

Lili | 297 comments Cindy (eclecticfirefly) wrote: "Hellooooooo........"

you just can't wait, can you?
what about all your book-swapping?, you done with that?

message 69: by Lis (new)

Lis | 4037 comments Bought more books today, YEAH!!! Holding off reading in fear that they are on a shelf for Bingo... ARGH!!!

4 more days... pace, pace, pace...

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Lili wrote: "Cindy (eclecticfirefly) wrote: "Hellooooooo........"

Lili - for shame!!!! LOLOL I don't think I'll ever actually be done with all that..... I'm not in many games right now, but one that is still going I have 5 1/2 books to read. One VB has almost finished, I have 2 3/4 books still to read. The other VB is in the middle of folks choosing and so far I have 3 books to read there.

Not bad actually - there is only 1 out of all of those that isn't PnR or UF. Gotta read it though, can't let go of my BDSM without reading first!!! I should be able to find one to fit almost any shelf that is called out of that list....maybe not angels, but most of the rest will be covered. And, I should have plenty to time to sneak in an extra book or two!

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Lis wrote: "Bought more books today, YEAH!!! Holding off reading in fear that they are on a shelf for Bingo... ARGH!!!

OOOOHHHH - what did you get????? Inquiring minds want to know!

message 72: by Lis (last edited Jul 20, 2011 06:01PM) (new)

Lis | 4037 comments Thought I might need a couple of books for Bingo so I picked up Brent Weeks' Night Angel Trilogy for the "trilogy" shelf... Also, Dark Oracle might work for "Dark", Mind Games for "UF" or "magic", and Kitty's Big Trouble which works for a "shifter".

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments I SO want Dark Oracle and Rogue Oracle.....I'm jealous!

The psy-changling books are AWESOME!!!! LOVE THEM! Seriously considering rereading those.

I hadn't planned on it - but my grandson has a summer reading assignment he needs to do before school starts. YAY!!!! He hates to read and I have been trying desperately to find ANYTHING the kid will actually read!

Anyway, went to HPB tonight to see if we could get lucky and find a book from the list for him. Of course, my DD and I both found books for ourselves. I got Shadow Marked. Demons, visions, sex, what more could I want?

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Well dag nab it! That's quite a pickle you are in. I would love to have an ereader, but I have so many actual books I don't feel like I really need one at this point.

Jackie M | 695 comments I'm from team#6 the Six Sexy Slinky Shifters, but I have to say that I love your group name!

message 76: by Lis (new)

Lis | 4037 comments Alright Jessica, I added the BD to my favorite links and will investigate further this weekend... Quick glance I saw a few deals that are whispering to me already. Thanks for enabling a truely weak book purchasing addict.

On another quick note, what qualifies for the free space?

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Thanks Jackie!

Lis - this is from the Free Space rules post:

(1) An SOS' Book of the Month: Any month while the game is in play

OR

(2) A book off of any of the group's new release threads: Any month while the game is in play

OR

(3) A book off of the group's bookshelf (any shelf/tag)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Aw, Jessica. Smiles no frowns. I hope you end up having a wonderful weekend!

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Jessica - do I have to reincarnate my Jade Dragon and singe your a$$?????? LOL

YAY for new books - even if you can't hold them in your hands and drool.....

I'm jealous of your Kindle purchase. I'll cave one of these days. There are so many books I would love to read that just aren't available except as ebooks.

message 80: by Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (last edited Jul 22, 2011 08:46PM) (new)

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Hope you enjoy the movie - again! Think I'm gonna wait for it to come out on DVD. I'm sure it would be awesome on the big screen, but I have found I don't like watching movies with a crowd. Can't stand it when people talk and move around - especially if it's something I'm really excited about seeing! Too many distractions.

That said - my DD and I did go to see the new Star Trek movie at the IMAX theater here last year. That was worth every penny! Came out of the theater wishing I had the $$$ for a huge wide-screen TV and the best surround sound package available. Maybe some day....

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Come on Jessica - just put a curtain over the screen. Or tell him he can have the big screen, IF you get a mirror over the bed.....

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments That sounds like a good trade to me! Maybe if you stocked it with erotica - and promise to try out all the new stuff on him?????

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 1143 comments Ok I'm ready to get this party started. Can't wait for the shelf announcement. So excited.

Jessica keep hoping for that kindle. My anniversary was yesterday I took the day off (played hookie) and when I went to get on my desktop computer there was this really neat present on my desk. An IPAD. I was so excited I'm still learning with this but I love it. 11 years and the man finally bought me something I absolutely love. Guess I'll have to keep him now

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Awwww....how sweet! Now I wish I had a guy....well...nah, I'd rather get my own than have to put up with all the stuff guys bring along with them. Besides, my house isn't big enough for another person!

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 1143 comments Cindy (eclecticfirefly) wrote: "Awwww....how sweet! Now I wish I had a guy....well...nah, I'd rather get my own than have to put up with all the stuff guys bring along with them. Besides, my house isn't big enough for another p..."

This man has become my single & only excuse for indulging in alcohol.lol I think it was his way of saying thank you for trying to take care of him & keep him here on Earth - his kids thank me everyday but I really wish they would take him home with them for awhile...lol

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Guess I've just been burned too many times....besides, I need my alone time. A lot of guys don't understand that - and it's hard enough to find that with my DD, her hubby, and my 2 grandsons here all the time!

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Our first shelf is here!
Time to start R3 of BSB!

Our First Shelf is: '4 stars'
DIRECT LINK: '4 stars'

Happy Reading!

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Bless your sleepy little heart Steph.....Thanks!

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments It figures.....the book I started yesterday is on the 4 stars shelf. The other one I need to read and mail out doesn't seem to be there.

SIGH......

I have at least 75 others to choose from, so I'll pick soon!

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments I've seen a couple of others pick this book. Think I will read along and use Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins .

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Sounds like a good one Jessica! One of these days I'll start that series.....

message 92: by Crystal S (new)

Crystal S (crystalann) | 487 comments I think I'll read The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #2) by Rick Riordan .

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 1143 comments I'm going to read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. It's a re read for about the 100th time but I love this series.

♡ Sassy ~ Amy ♡ | 494 comments I'm sorry! I just had to drop by to say I love your team name! It had me laughing! ~ Amy

message 96: by Lis (new)

Lis | 4037 comments Seems like several YAs on the list, so I will go with The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) by Rick Riordan . It's been on my TBR pile for over a year now. It's time...

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Planning to read Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3) by Suzanne Collins for the Free Space. Hopefully some time next week....

message 98: by Lili (last edited Jul 24, 2011 12:00AM) (new)

Lili | 297 comments All right, I'll be reading
4 Stars - When He Was Bad by Shelly Laurenston
Free space - Crave by J.R. Ward

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments I have that one TBR too.....

How is the reading going???? I finished Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy, #1) by Kiersten White this morning and got started on Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins . If it's as good as I think it's gonna be, I'll probably finish it tomorrow at the latest! Do have some other things to do today, but plan on getting in at least a couple of hours of reading too!

Oops - I'm out of coffee. Sacrilege!

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments I'm about halfway thru mine. Good story, but ended up babysitting my 4 yr old grandson for about 3 hours right in the middle of the day. I don't mind doing it, but can't really read when it's just the 2 of us. Every few seconds it seems to be "Grandma, look at this" or "Grandma, watch me".
