SOLVED. Best friends similar to Beaches, but not quite? [s]

It's about 2 women who are best friends growing up
and one of them becomes a museum curator and the other gets married and movies to Paris but then divorces and gets cancer she has a daughter. It's sort of like Beaches but not quite the same story.

Could it be Summer Sisters by Judy Blume? I can't remember the specifics, but the gist sounds the same.

Summer Sisters by Judy Blume does sound similar, but it was about 2 girls growing up on the East Coast/Martha's Vineyard area, I believe.

It might also be Le Divorce by Diane Johnson.
