What are you currently OR planning to read?

From Russia with Love, and then onto You Only Live Twice. Is it blasphemy to also read a Harry Palmer book?

I've been a huge film Bond fan for years. After becoming a fan of Craig's version, because of his emotional arc, I just decided to read them all in order. I just read Casino Royale (and I loved it) and I have Live and Let Die on the way, in the mail.

I was planning on picking up all of the Fleming books, Colonial Sun then going ahead to Devil May Care (since it takes place in the original series, trying to replicate Fleming). Then I plan on sticking with the series as William Boyd is supposedly writing the next one in the 60's - so I'll be skipping out on Deaver's reboot.

Are the Garnder, Benson books worth picking up? There's just so many of them, I'm a little overwhelmed just starting out.

Currently reading 'Colonel Sun' by Robert Markham (Kingsley Amis) which I'm thoroughly enjoying as the first continuation novel. Planning to read 'Devil May Care' by Sebastian Faulks next followed by the Gardner and Benson books as I've never read any of these - Tony.

I just finished Moonraker today. Great book!

Moonraker was pretty good. It's up there among the ones I enjoyed most.

Just finished Goldfinger myself. Although I did like it, it seems I didn't enjoy it as much as others seemed to.

I'm reading through them chronologically so the next up to bat is the collection of shorts, "For Your Eyes Only."

I just finished the authorized biography. It had it's moments. It was an interesting read for anyone who enjoyed the Fleming novels and just wants more Bond. Time to move onto the next set of books. Hopefully license renewed starts things off for Gardner on an up note.
