ABANDONED. Short Story - Sci-fi - ants invading a spaceship

I am looking for a book that contained selected short stories (science fiction), that may have been specifically Russian science fiction. I read it in the early 1990s (borrowed it from my middle school library. It contains a story with a first person narrator where a man is on a spaceship (he may have been alone or others may have been with him at first, but he is definitely alone by the end). He finds ants (not giant ants) appearing in the spaceship. It starts with him finding an ant here and there and wondering how they got on board. I think he kills them and others appear, more and more showing up as time progresses. (view spoiler)[The implication is that he eventually realizes that the blackness on the monitor and in outer space is truly millions and millions of ants that are slowly invading the spacecraft. He realizes that he cannot possibly escape his doom and they will eventually overtake the ship. (hide spoiler)] If anyone knows this story, or the book that contains it, I would be very grateful.
