Question on publication date

I have a question on the proper publication date for this edition, which I created.

The copyright page says
"G.P. Putnam's edition published August, 1949
A Pocket Cardinal edition
1st printing . . . . December, 1955
2nd printing . . . . January, 1965"
I put the most recent printing date in the page for this edition, and I'm not sure if that's correct.

That's the one I would use too. The 1955 printing might have different cover art from the 1965 printing, etc.

Always go with the latest cause that's the most up-to-date, just like Lobstergirl said.
