More great artists in the thread - Tom Waits, Marillion, The Roots. Nice stuff.@Tracey - sorry about the Opeth. I wouldn't call them a death metal band, though they do use those vocals in many songs. They're actually one of the best progressive rock bands around these days, and have many songs with no such vocals. Their upcoming album is an homage to 1970s-style prog rock and should be excellent. The song of theirs I posted actually has some very pretty parts and nice clean vocals, though it does start with the death metal vocals :)

My parents brought me up listening to the oldies station and the classic rock stations, and it just stuck with me. I hope it'll stick with my son too once he gets a little bigger and starts paying attention to the music he hears. Can't go wrong with the good stuff:)
