a) i didn't just read it.
b) i was really sad that this was the last book cause I wanted to read on

I still remember when I finished the book, thought it was a few years go. I was at the beach, like halfway through the book, and I saw my friend and she started laughing at me because it is a know fact that I love to read, and then I finished it on the car-ride home. I remember seeing her years later and she said she thought it was hysterical that when I left I was almost done. I remember being sad that I was finished, but loving the ending and epilogue. Just felt like sharing my story.

I must say that I remember reading the last 150 pages or so in 1½ day (first book I read in English), and I felt hallow when I had finished it. It was all those years when I had heard Harry Potter and read about Harry Potter that came to an end. Like finishing a book in the big book of life, but wait I'll first do that after this last movie, and maybe I'll wait one more year because then I'll have finished this part of my school.

Of couse I reread it over and over agian as time goes on, and I can't imagine a time when I doesn't own the Harry Potter series.

I do get sad, but I always just reread it. It's not like I can't read it again, lol.

I was really sad... I didn't want it to end... But... All the goods books and book series sometime end...

i remembr waitng so desperately 4ths book 2come out....it was a series i grew up with..,i was so restless i kept rereading all the other books...sometimes i would just pick one randomly, open it anywhere and start reading....bought it the day it came out...finishd it in a couple of days...
So whn i was reading the final battle with voldemort my heart was lodged in my throat...i was literally like "shit...this is it!!"....
As soon as it ended,i put it down and couldnt touch it for weeks....i just couldnt accept that a series that i had been reading since i was 9 could end...of course, after a while i did go and reread it...

So....finishing this book was emotional for me...happy that harry finally wins, sad that its over...it just felt incredible...and now the last movie's goint to come out...

Yeah, I remember when I finished the final book. I was sad, but wasn't too bad, because I knew the movies were coming up, that made me feel better. I was getting a little bit "Potterdepressed" with the final movie being done until a friend told me about Pottermore.com! You'll have to check it out! If you register your email on the webstie before July 30th, you have a chance of being one of a few lucky people to help JKR build the website. Otherwise, it will be open to everyone in October. I can't wait!!!!!!!

My mind can believe it's over but I can't! AAAAHHH! IT'S ENDING IT'S ENDING!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

read it in 2 days when it came out but i was sad

I was pretty much depressed haha! However, for me it felt a little better when I realized I still had the movies to look forward to, but last Friday when I saw the last one, I had this void inside of me. I was pretty sad, I had tears in my eyes when the credits rolled, because I grew up with those books for the past 11 years! I remember watching the first movie on VHS on my eleventh birthday, and pretending that Harry and I were celebrating our birthdays together, and then I waited for an owl to drop off my letter :).

I was pretty disappointed back then, when it didn't come. ;)

I was so sad! {I wanted to cry} I mean, you don't find such AMAZING stories like this often, do you? All I am saying is that JK Rowling would be so much more amazing if she wrote some more books!!!

When i finished reading it i was still hoping that something else would come, then i realized it wasn't. I grew up with harry and from one moment to another he was gone. It wasn't like i cried or anything, but it was sad.

I did feel bad for a while because it was sad to leave that world (I read the whole series together, start to finish). Luckily I found another great adult fantasy series to read shortly after so there wasn't much of a withdrawal for me.
