Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
question
why did thay split the movie in two
cause they didn't want fans to complain and they wanted it to be the best movie ever. and if they did one then there would be like nothing good so to be awesomer they made to movies!
I totally agree with Cathy... But I have to say that I like that they split it because this way the movie may have a lot of the details of the book...
well the book was so detailed and they didn't want to lose that so they split the movie in to so they could have all of the info.
Two reasons:
Money makes the world go 'round and they want to squeeze as much out of it as they can.
Artistic justice. They wanted to do the final book justice, and if they only made one movie, they would have to cut A LOT out of the script.

Because the book is already really long, right? They don't want to make, like, a 6 hour movie. I wouldn't mind though...
One movie is equal to a cliff note phamplet. They are already short. Making one movie out of that entire book would be less than a cliff note phamplet. It would be a short story!
Because of money.
They were thinking to do the same since the 4th book. However, they reduced them into one movie just to save time and money.
And now, when the saga was coming to the end, because of not wanting to end the franchise and give an end to the goose of the golden eggs so quickly, they opted to split the last movie in two.

I have to say I think it was a little of both money and details. Look how they delayed the release of the first movie because of money. But they had to really make the last movie amazing to end such an epic series so what better way to show it all than to split it in two.
I hate to say this, but I had a really hard time with the first part of the book. It took me some time to finish it... So when I heard they were making 2 movies, I was kind of surprised... I figured it had to do with the money. But, also, some small part had to be for the fans, because having 2 movies is always better than 1 to end this awesome series. :)
The last book of the series was too detailed to be transformed into a 3 hour movie. It would have been the most rushed movie of the series if it had been done in one part.
i really wish they did not
Yeah, do you want to sit through a 3-4 hour movie with details? Or a 2 hour movie with lots of left out details. That is why they split it so they could get most of the details with a reasonably long movie, because I'll admit I wouldn't want to sit through a 3 hour movie in the theatres..
I'm pretty sure they split it becuz' they wanted to make sure that MOST of the details were in it.
I thought part one was good, but I remember thinking it missed details, y'know?!
I'M SO GOING TO SEE PART 2!!!!
endless you want a crapy movie, you better be happy they split it in two so they could get all the good stuff in. if it was just one movie, they would have to cram in everything and it would suck butt. i personally don't care how long a movie is as long as it's good and it keeps me on the edge of my seat!
agree with the above, but I really didn't like the first part, it was very monotonous, but the next part looks MINDBLOWING!!!!!!!
i would argue the book was split into two movies for MONEY!
