Oh yeah. Falling Skies. I'll watch episode one of season 2 and if it starts off with some sort of indication that this is going somewhere with a real PoV, I'll keep going. If not, I'm probably done.
Yeah, I'm done. The season finale was... not very interesting IMO. I guess they're trying, they're just not trying very hard. (And this is from a guy who was telling people not to be so critical, early on.)
It happens all too often that shows with a good premise fizzle out on us. Don't feel bad for giving it a chance, it's the only way to find out.
Thanks. You're sweet! On the upside, I've pre-ordered the Game of Thrones DVDs (early birthday present ;-) )because I don't get HBO and I've spent months listening to people go on about how great the show is... here's hopin'.
It's the best TV show I ever saw, nothing compares. I watched each episode 3 or 4 times before the next one aired. I'm definitely buying it when it comes to DVD. You should read the book first, there's so much more to it than the TV series. If you like outstanding epic fantasy, then you'll like GOT. Don't forget to let me know what you think of it. Also, do you know the DVD release date?
GoT is pretty good and I like that it's not horribly far off from the book other than a few things they put in for entertainment value that didn't need to be there imo.

With the very few choices we have in Science Fiction on TV, I'm not completely unhappy with Skyline. Battle: LA lost all credibility for me when they said that the aliens were invading because they needed one of our resources: water. Seriously? They created an invasion fleet and traveled halfway across the galaxy to raid us for a resource that can be made from the most common element (Hydrogen) in the universe?
