This is one of my new fav. series ever! And they just get better and better!

Thanks for getting me to read it, Gi..."Amanda! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I love Jason and Tori's story. She's become one of my fav HR authors (her and Lavyrle Spencer). All of the other suggestions are good books as well some I enjoyed more than others. I've read all of her HRs and my particular favs are A Kingdom of Dreams , Once and Always and Until
You. Whitney, My Love is probably her most popular book. It's the second in the Westmoreland series behind Kingdom of Dreams. Kingdom of dreams doesnt have to be read first but Whitney my love should be read before Until You for the little intro to Stephen. Having said all that, if you can find Kingdom of Dreams I would suggest that one- if not, then give either Whitney My Love or Almost Heaven a shot! Kingdom of Dreams was my first JM book and I'm eternally grateful for that PIFM challenge which led to my JM addiction! Lol
Gigi wrote: "Amanda wrote: "Finished up Once and Always while at the beach this weekend. This is actually my first time reading Judith McNaught and I really love her writing! Thanks for getting me..."Oh so we don't need to read AKOD before Whitney? I have both Whitney and Only You but have been waiting to get my hands on Kingdom to start that series...
D.G. ~Vile Temptress~ wrote: "Gigi wrote: "Amanda wrote: "Finished up Once and Always while at the beach this weekend. AKOD takes place a few centuries before WML- Royce is a great- grandfather (if I'm not mistaken) to Clayton Westmoreland so, there may be a minor reference to Royce but you can follow WML w/o having read AKOD. You should definitely read AKOD at some point because it's an awesome story.
Becky wrote: "Freya you did a great job picking, so much so I don't know what I want to read. First I would love to read Sugar Queen when u r ready..."Oh Lovely Becky... I'm going to try and read the below three; all buddy reads : )
The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen
Lessons in French by Laura Kinsale
Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh
I finished
by Lauren Oliver and really really enjoyed it. I can't wait to read the second and third one!! I'm reading
by Lauren Oliver as a buddy read, and I'm really liking it as well. I really like her writing style, and how the main characters do not seem phony, rather they say and think things that the normal teenage girl does. The characters are very relatable =)
Just finished Blaze of Memory by Nalini Singh 07/07***meh!
It wasn't nearly as good as the other ones in the series, I guess I like it better when there's a changeling in the story.
I couldn't quite connect with Dev and Katya was way too "delicate" for my taste.
Blaze wasn't a favorite of mine either...lots of ppl apparently cried during it and I was just ehhh...Bonds of Justice is decent...but I really loved Play of Passion and Kiss of Snow
I did manage to find my copy of A Kingdom of Dreams. Not sure if I'll ever read Almost Heaven because, oddly enough, the hero has the same name (first & last) of an ex I had, which weirds me out a bit, lol.I'll probably check out Lavyrle Spencer, too. I've been neglecting the PNR genre in favor of HR lately for some reason.
Dee wrote: "Blaze wasn't a favorite of mine either...lots of ppl apparently cried during it and I was just ehhh...Bonds of Justice is decent...but I really loved Play of Passion and Kiss of Snow"I agree - Blaze was only OK. They get better again after that :)
Hey Alisha! I just finished Talk Me Down and I really really enjoyed it! I'm talking ignoring my boyfriend when he came to visit so that I could keep reading it :) I did find Molly slightly annoying but she slowly grew on me. Thanks so much for another great recommendation! Hopefully I'll have time to read more this month
Amanda wrote: "I did manage to find my copy of A Kingdom of Dreams. No way about the name in Almost Heaven! That would weird me out too! Lol
I haven't read Morning Glory yet which is Lavyrle Spencers more popular book and very good. I'm running out of her HRs to read so I'm trying to take my time getting to that one- savoring one of the best for last.
Years, Hummingbird and The Endearment are my favorite LS books. I may even like her a little more than JM- maybe. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
I have finished Someone to Watch Over Me and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I was skeptical at first because I generally don't like amnesia stories but this one was very interesting.
Hi Vi! I just finished Sugar Daddy after starting it yesterday. I loved it. It wasn't my typical romance but there was something about following Liberty from her beginning with Hardy to the end, that was perfect. I hope can't wait to start Blue Eyed Devil and Smooth Talking Stranger. I hope that she does give snippets of what is going on in Liberty's life, since I do love family series that tie everything up!
Thank you again for the recommendation! I'm going to start on either Dark Lover or Bitten, and of course Naked Werewolf soon!
Brenda, glad you liked Sugar Daddy. Welcome to LK Contemporary bandwagon. Once you start the book, it's hard to put it down. Oh yes, do continue the series. I love, love Smooth Talking Stranger. You will see some snippets in both the books - more so I think in the third. If you do read Bitten or Dark Lover, let me know how you found it :). Hmm, I think I'm due for a re-read of Bitten.
Amanda and Heather I should be receiving The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie any day now! I impatiently keep checking my mailbox and will let you know as soon as it arrives so we can start buddy reading. Thanks for waiting for me.
Amanda, I also just got The Princess Bride from the library, so if 'Madness' doesn't arrive this weekend, I'll start that one first.
Kim

Hi Kim,
I have finished Hard Evidence and really liked it. I think I liked the first in this series more, but I really love this writer's story telling and will be sure to continue the series.
I also finished A Lot Like Love and loved it. It may have been my favorite Julie James book yet!
Looking forward to The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie
Hi Mandy,Sorry for not getting back to you. I missed your post somehow! Anyway, I'm going to read "Let the Right One In" this month and I'll probably read "The Witches of East End" too but you don't have to read it with me if you don't get to it since I goofed on this (it's my first time!).

That's because Lisa Kleypas is awesome.
And Kim, I really hope you enjoy The Princess Bride. Honestly, after watching the movie so many times, I thought there could actually be no way that the book would trump the movie. I was completely & utterly wrong.
I'm also looking forward to the tri-buddy read! Hopefully the post office makes it a speedy delivery! : )

Ashley, I finished Darkfever today. Thank you for getting off my TBR shelf!! It was a great start to the series, I really enjoyed it.Emily and I also finished out buddy read of You Slay Me, my pick for her. I liked that one a lot too!
Hi Ari,I just finished To Kill a Mockingbird. I've been putting off reading it for a while, but I'm glad I finally did. I really liked it, because even though it's not the type I usually like to read, it turned out to be a much deeper story than it first seemed.
I have just finished the The English Patient as a Buddy read and I'm starting my other Buddy read Hilda the wicked witch with Sue today!! x x
Sarah I read The Sugar Queen yesterday, started it in the evening and read straight through....very good book...I am now starting on Faefever
Looking forward to our buddy read of Angels Blood
finished up The Letter Z which was recommended to me by Tugce Nida...enjoyed it - I'm not always a fan of established couples, but since the two couples get together in the earlier books in the series it was a cute read! thanks!!
I finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I haven't decided how I feel about this. I didn't love all the characters but I did like the story. *** 1/2 stars it is.
I've just finished one of my buddy reads - Jacob by Jacqueline Frank. 4 stars. Mandy (my pickee) is still going - she might be stuck on those first 30-50 pages which are pretty slow :)

Lisa - I am so tempted to join you in Faefever - but I have to finish my beachread before I pick up the next book. If I get through my last 100 pages today, I'll PM you. (I'm happy to start well behind you :)
Heather and Amanda! The book came in! The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie I'm excited to start it! Let me know how you want to work this, I can start anytime.
Kim
Completed books:Cherish - Catherine Anderson (buddy read)
Saving Grace - Julie Garwood
I gave both 4 stars. Wonderful books. Great authors. Can't wait for my other choices to arrive.
KarenH- Thanks for the suggestions. I forgot how much I enjoy these two authors. Julie Garwood has such a grasp of the details that make the 13th century feel current.
I'm ready to start whenever Kim, but I have no issues waiting for when Heather is ready. Feel free to post up a thread for the buddy read, too!

I started it yesterday and have not wanted to put it down...it is as good as the first and second books...keeps you interested the whole time!
I enjoyed GWTDT but wasn't sure about a lot of the characters but still gave it 5 stars...I was intrigued enough to pick up the next book in the series though and while others didn't like it as much, I thought it was much better and the story started right away - there wasn't all these financial background that had to be laidPhotojim wrote: "I finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. No Problem since I realized I needed to finish my last read first. I hurt my back which you would think would give me plenty of time to read. But the painkillers kept me from focusing on anything. All I did was reach for something on my dashboard of my car and whammo... But I have been rewatching Buffy since I already know what happens I can fall asleep and not be out of the loop.

I'm liking book two better. I have to see how it ends, but I'm a solid 4 - 4 1/2 stars right now.

3. Mars (same symbol as male gender) – Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews
Finished Magic Bites on July 5, 2011. Really good read! I like the world created by IA. Curran is definately an alpha male, one that I want to smack, but is cuddly too! Thanks for the Rec, and will have to put #2 on my to read list!
