I didn't read to music before, maybe because I used to focus more when I was younger, but recently I've discovered that reading while listening to classical music really helps, and makes the reading experience quite enjoyable and helps me focus on the book and drown the noise outside:)

If I do it's with classical music in the background. When I was younger it was rock music but that's not possible anymore. It distracts me + I start be bopping my head. Lol!

Depends. If the music is familiar to me, than I can read when listening to it, and that only if the book is of average or (edit:) beneath average quality (or comics).Otherwise, no.
Me personally, I don't read to music. I like it to be quiet, a hot cup of tea nearby or water and a comfortable seat. I give all my attention to the book I am reading because I want to fully experience the description of the scenery, development and description of each character, and I want to be able to play out the chapters and paragraphs in the chapters as I read them in my mind; like a mini movie. I feel that listening to music and reading cannot mix. I personally love both; but music and reading are separate experiences that I can't jumble into one.
I do read to music, as I commute to work by bus so I need something to drown that out so I put my ipod onto shuffle. I listen to pretty much anything.
I love to hear my wind chime while reading.
Sometimes I read to music, but mostly I prefer to have a sporting event on with the volume turned down.
