Pisces19 | 196 comments Is anybody else interested in classic vampire fiction or vampire horror fiction? I've read a bit of vampire romance, some teen vampire fiction, and some sci-fi vampire stories, but I have to say, the books that I keep coming back to that I just really loved sinking my teeth into (no pun intended)were vampire horror stories that made me interested in the characters, but were chilling to read too. Some of the classic Victorian vampire stories and novels are some of my favorites (Carmilla, Dracula, The Vampyre, Count Magnus, and VIY, to name a few.) But I find that any modern vampire story that is truly scary (or even terrifying) is what captures my heart. Anyone share my love of vampire horror fiction and have some recommendations they want to discuss?

So far the best of what I have read are

- Dracula
- Let the Right One In
- The Passage
- I Am Legend
- Interview with the Vampire
- The Vampire Lestat
- Queen of the Damned
- Carmilla
- Salem's Lot

Have others you want to suggest? Please do so!

Chaeck out the Anita Blake series. It was a great series in the beginning, she was a kick as necromancer, we're talking raising whole graveyard here!

Pisces19 | 196 comments Yeah, I read the first one. Didn't really care for it all that much. It was ok. Maybe they get better?

Yeah they do. Then they get worse. Lmao. Kinda fluctuates. The one where she raised an entire grave was truly a good one, just ant remember whichh one that was! So was narcicuss in chains and obsidian butterfly. So give the series another shot. Just be sure to skip flirt and skin trade oh and skip micah too.

Creature | 124 comments Hello:
Try the Necroscope series by Brian Lumley and the Vampire Count Saint Germain series by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro. Those two series should feed your need for vampirism for a while.
Have a Great Day!!!
