Gerd Did anybody else feel heavily reminded of Bradbury's short story "The Women" (included in I Sing the Body Electric) by the river monster?

Christine hmmm...I didn't really put much thought into it at the time, but the river monster did strongly remind me of something else I had read. Gotta check that out! :)
