Ender’s Game
question
Great Book! What is the next book in the series?

Hello everyone! :o)
I just read this book, and LOVED IT! I'd like to know what are the other books, in sequence, that fall in order for this series?

I think everybody has done a good job summarizing both series. Card has also said that there is a final Ender book in the works, one that would tie both series together.
I've really enjoyed the prequels, Earth Unaware and Earth Afire. In the latter book, Mazer Rakham is quite prominent.
A voz dos mortos - in portuguese - but i think that original title is The Speaker For the dead :)
I've jumped all of those books and i'm reading Ender's shadow which is the same story from Ender's Game but in a diferent perspective (through Bean). Someone had told me that this Ender's Shadow was the best book from the series but once i finish it and the all books i have to read too i might return to the original order, wich is reading the Sepaker for the Dead

I know I already posted this on another discussion, but anyways, here's my answer:
Wikipedia has it well organized: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ender......
Earth Unaware
Earth Afire
Earth Awakens
First Meetings in Ender's Universe
Ender's Game
Ender's Shadow (Note: The events of Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow take place in roughly the same time period.)
A War of Gifts (Note: This takes place during Ender's Game/Ender's Shadow.)
Shadow of the Hegemon
Shadow Puppets
Shadow of the Giant
Ender in Exile (Note: This takes place during Shadow of the Hegemon and through Shadow of the Giant)
Shadows in Flight
Speaker for the Dead
Xenocide
Children of the Mind
Shadows Alive
Notice that Earth Unaware, Earth Afire, and Earth Awakens are prequels and are about the First Formic War. Earth Awakens has not been published yet. First Meetings is a collection of short stories. Two of the short stories take place before Ender's Game, one is the short story Ender's Game, and one takes place after. Shadows Alive also hasn't been published yet. There also is a chart on Wikipedia which illustrates the chronological order pretty well.

SPEAKER FOR THE DEAD! u know guys, i really liked ender's game for some reason!
I really love the Bean series. I can't wait for Shadows in Flight. Its been a long time waiting for the next installment! Not that I don't have love for the Ender series of course - hell I even named my son Ender (I had already named the cat Bean!). Both series are just so awesome, I try to recommend them to everyone.
SPEAKER FOR THE DEAD is the best one to continue with. I love that novel more than ENDER'S GAME. XENOCIDE, the third book, did nothing for me. As for the other books, I haven't read them. I was there for the "trilogy" & never continued. But I will say SPEAKER is a very rewarding novel.
The order to read the series is a subject of great debate... I recommend reading Enders Game, then Speaker for the Dead, then the Shadow Series
Ijust read Ender's game in June and have now finished 8 of them as of today. I have ordered 4 more,
A War of Gift's, which could go right after Ender's game I've been told, Ender in Exile, which is called a prequel to speaker for the Dead
First Meetings (short story collection)
and pre-ordered Shadows in flight
Shadows alive is said to be coming after he realized that Shadows in flight needed to be two books
I think these are among my favorite books in a long time. Enjoy the adventure

Isn't there two seprate series branching off of ender's game?
So if you want war :) more fast paced and bean <3 read the shadow series (Ender's Shadow, shadow puppets, shadow of the Hegemon, and shadow of the giant)
If u want a deeper story that is still Enderish read The Ender series (Speaker for the dead, Xenocide, Children of the mind, a war of gifts, ender in exile)

One of my all time favorite books. You've already been told about the other books in his series, but once you've exhausted all of those, I'd encourage you to read anything of his you can get your hands on. His short stories are GREAT!!

One of my favorite series...discovered at middle-age! 'Read all the books in the series at the time then went on to the Red Prophet and Homecoming series, eventually moving on to other authors, thinking that was it...only to discover he'd written TWO more books in the Ender series while I wasn't watching - and, oh, what a delight! Once I'd finished First Meetings and War of Gifts, I had the joy of starting the series all over again - once again totally enthralled, even now - in my 'golden' years!
Ender's series - Ender's Game, Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide and Children of the Mind
Bean series - Ender's Game, Ender's Shadow, Shadow of the Hegemon, Shadow Puppets, Shadow of the Giant and Ender in Exile
Then First Meetings and A War of Gifts.

I just finished the Ender's series and I am now starting the 'Bean' series.
I was told to read Ender's Game then all of the Ender's series. Then return to Ender's Shadow (first in Bean series).
What a great author!!!

I love Enders Shadow, it is one of my favorites!
It goes (after Ender's Game) Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide, Children of the Mind and a quick look at the series (go to one of the books and then push Ender's Saga, you get to all the books in the series) and it looks like there is a few "bonus" books/short stories for the series.
There are 3 additional books in the "Shadow" series: Shadow of the Hegemon, Shadow Puppets, and Shadow of the Giant. While none are as good or as original as Ender's Game, some may prefer them to the Ender sequels (Speaker, Xenocide, and Children of the Mind). The Ender sequels are very cerebral; the Shadow series is more action-oriented, much like Ender's Game.
Ender's Shadow is a parallel book. It tells the same story from Bean's perspective and tells Bean's story. I don't think any of the other books are as good as Ender's Game.
The next book in the series is Speaker for the Dead. Actually Speaker for the Dead was the book Orson Scott Card wanted to put out first, but felt it needed backstory, so he penned Ender's Game as the backstory...little dreaming it would be the more popular of the series.
If you liked the Ender's Game books you will like the Homecoming series also.
If I want to read books that are connected to Ender's Game in the series, should I read the shadow series or Speaker for the Dead.
Walter Foddis
Both are connected, except one is more immediate in time (Shadow Series) and the other is thousands of years into the future (Speaker for the Dead, Xe
