How do I get my book review to show up?

Hi! I dont know what folder this goes in, so if one of the mods needs to move it, please do!

I put reviews on some books, but when I go to the book's page, the don't show up under the section of 'community reviews.' Does anyone know why? Or how I can get my review to show up along with everyone else's?

If anyone can give me pointers, thanks!

Hmmmm. I am not sure how you are posting.... So I will tell u how to do it from the beginning. :) click on creative review and go to the group home page. Down below the group description is all the topic and folders list at the very top on he right it says "topics" over beside that to the right it says something like "read/ new/ all" click new. Then it will ask for the title and a description (I always put in the title again) and the you choose your folder. Just select it based on the type of review u are posting (young adult, mystery, etc) then you put in your review ( I copy and paste mine in) then u hit post. It should appear then. If u have any other trouble let me know!! Hope this helps.

Cambria--Thanks. I was actually trying to get it to show up on the goodreads page for the book, with all the other reviews. Maybe i can't see it b/c it's mine? HM. Not sure. But i will post it on here, where i know it shows up!

Lena, I did that at one point and I think it was because I'd accidentally put the review in a comment instead! I had to cut and paste it into the correct text box and then it showed up.

If you link to it we can go have a nosey and see if we can see it maybe?

mine never shows up with community reviews it just says My Review straight under the description of the book

Oh! Sorry. Did i mention I was a blond? hehehe. Umm, I haven't had any problems with posting my reviews on the GR page. All i do is type the book into the search engine at the top of the page and when i get to the page I click on 'my review' or 'add review' It always shows up. If you keep having issues let me know and I will see what I can do :)

Okay! that's what happened to me. I guess they show up to other people, just not to us?

thanks! I think it's just that i can't see my reviews w/ the community reviews b/c they stay at the top of my page.

What you do is search the book you are looking for and add the book to your read bookshelf and look down a little and there should be a link saying my review, or add a review and all you got to do is click it : )

Lena, it looks like mine does that same thing, and it keeps the reviews of all of my friends on GoodReads at the top as well. I guess it wants to let us know what our friends have to say about it first. :)

I know this topic is old, but I thought I'd post the answer that works for me. Go to the book page, and scroll to the bottom of the page. It should say "Previous" and some page numbers to indicate more pages of reviews etc.

Click on the last number, e.g. 3 if there's 3 pages. Then click on 1 for the first page.

Your review should now appear with all the community reviews. The default when you go to the book page is to place your review at the top, but if you follow these instructions it should appear in the community reviews section, as well as at the top. Your review might not be on the first page, if there's lots of reviews, but it will be in the community reviews section.

Just a note - if you posted your review today, it will probably be the next day before it will appear in the community reviews list. It takes a while to be updated.
