Me: Eh, no, not really. Some of the things you say I don't get at first and I'm like "wait, what?" But I don't think it's odd. I think it's cool, but then again, I think that being odd is a good thing. So, I'd say you can be odd, but in a positive way that makes me think OMG THIS CHICK IS AWESOME.
Me: I did aspire to get a third-party opinion due to the fact that my mother does find me to be odd, in a way that is perhaps not so endearing. She finds me to be fascinating. Apparently, I think very differently than she does.

Me: Speaking of odd, we used gloves to help our hamster get used to touch so he won't bite and when we put him back, he buried himself underneath the bedding. O.o

Me: True, but I've never seen a rat or hamster do that before. We've had a lot of rats before, but no hamsters, so that might be different.

Me: Delete it. Proceed to turn the machine you created it on into scrap metal. Burn the metal. Deposit said remains in the catacombs in Sicily, because it's literally full of mummifying bodies (some of them fresh O.o) and no one wants to go in there ever.

Me: It's your funeral, then. What would you like me to do with your corpse when it inevitably pops up somewhere?

Me: That's not actually how demon-making works in The Woods, but sure. There is a possibility, mind you, that Saul will reanimate your corpse through the ashes and turn you into an asset. For him.

Me: He's over three-hundred years old. He's from Puritan Salem--he was persecuted during the witch trials, intimidated his way out of prison, charmed the rats to aid him and proceeded to inflict rat torture on the warden. Did I mention that he was seventeen at the time?

Me: Oh my god. I'm starting to like Saul more and more!
Akantha: You're fucked in the head.
Me: Yup. That's okay.
Akantha: You're fucked in the head.
Me: Yup. That's okay.
Me: He happened to off the wrong magician during his wanderings of North America and almost ends up a sacrifice for the cult that's imprisoned him, but he gets saved at the last minute by an 800-year-old vampire and his demon partner. Saul's got this incurable condition now, which basically makes is entire body ache all the way down to his marrow, and he stays with the vampire only because he knows how to brew a potion that makes the pain retreat enough for him to do things like a normal person. Some days it's not so bad, but on others if he doesn't end up taking the potion he can't do anything except for lie on his mat and moan. He's an interesting person, for sure. Very shady.

Me: Thinking about the possibility that there might have actually been witches in Salem. Then I thought about how many hundreds of people were imprisoned on charges, from four-year-olds to those in their nineties, and I'm like "Who's going to miss the escapades of a seventeen-year-old necromancer? They didn't book all the people put on trial. What if he's actually as vile as the afflicted girls said?"
Boom. There's Saul.
Boom. There's Saul.
