Craig Hallam (craighallam) | 66 comments If you're looking for proper 1800s sci-fi, then Hartmann the Anarchist by Edward Douglas Fawcett is a great example! Lots of dirigibles etc.

Scott, I picked it up for free and put it on my iPad, but haven't yet read it (it was recommended by a VSF wargame blog I follow). Worth a read?

Scott Kinkade | 45 comments I would say yes, though there is a distinct lack of conflict in the story. The heroes amass so much military might, no one can possibly challenge them. The only real challenge comes from the protagonist's attempts to get the girl.

Sorry James, I completely missed this message. I can only suggest the usual, like facebook author page, twitter and blogging. If you want to use my blog to do a guest post, feel free to send me something and I'll put it up for you :D

I am currently reading The Secret of Abdu el Yezdi: a Burton & Swinburne adventure by Mark Hodder. I really love the whole series, but you really need to read them in the correct order so you can understand all of the characters. The first title in the series is The Strange Affair of Spring Heeled Jack.
