I need the sea
to clense away
all the mistakes
of yesterday.
I need the shore
to take my heart
and bring it back
to the start.
The start of innocence
and love
I need it
to dispose of
hurt and sorrow
and pain
and just come
and make me whole again.
But more than seas
or shores
I need your love
to heal my sores
I need you
to make me whole
just take me on
a midnight stroll
and tell me that
you love me
open my eyes
and make me see
that love doesn't have to
be a curse,
that you'll love me,
for better or worse.

Loving you was never easy

Romance is an uncommon word
One I've never heard
when speaking of me
