Latest two that I've read have been:- At No Man's Command by Melanie Milburne
-Bound by the Italian's Contract by Janette Kenny
Starting with the Milburne book...some of hers I really like, others I find very ordinary with some of the heroines being quite immature (one I recall where she tipped a cup of coffee in the hero's lap in a fit of pique). One thing I do find is that Milburne doesn't write cardboard characters. Her heroine in this latest book, Aiesha Adams, was different. To start with I didn't really relate to her and didn't really think I was going to like her that much, but in fact it turned around. She's carrying quite a lot of emotional scars, and the story ending was really satisfying.
Kenny's book I didn't enjoy much. I found it hard to follow at times - and I read my HP for light reading enjoyment. There were things in the plot line that just didn't make sense to me and what happened to the heroine (won't spoil it) in her past really seemed contrived. I just didn't get why that was integral to the story - could have easily been left out.
As always, love to hear from anyone else who has read either of these books. Great to have a discussion about them on a forum like ours.
I read "At No Man's Command by Melanie Milburne" , it's one of my favorite HP ,what I liked most about it is the heroine , she wasn't acting all nice and innocent , she was sassy, playful, unpredictable which is different from the usual HP heroines.
Verity wrote: "I luv VP'S writing, especially her heroes."She's got a great voice. I can't wait to read more. I really like the heroine in this one. Her secret baby choices made sense. :D
I wish I knew this was out. I just bought a couple of books via ehqn.com yesterday so gotta buy again. On top of buying 4 VERA BRADLEY bags just now, I'm officially broke LOL..

I haven't gotten to read her yet. I will try to squeeze her in early next year.

I'm reading Lynne Graham's Ruthless Magnate's Virgin Mistress. I've read it before, and the hero is not a huge jacksass and the heroine, well, not TSTL. She gives him a run for his money. Very funny scene where the hero gives the heroine a hickey and they both freak out.

Started this year with The Price of Success by Maya Banks and finished reading Nine months to redeem him by Jennie Lucas. Loved both of them, especially the latter.
LadyTechie wrote: "Re-reading The De Santis Marriage by Michelle Reid."This was among the first HPs i read, and among my favorites too :)
I am reading Innocent in His Diamonds by Maya Blake. I am really liking it so far.....love the build-up of sexual tension.
I am curious to know if anyone read King of Cullah. It is a pretty old HP and I detested the h to the point that even at the end when she makes a turn I could not wish her well.
reading carole mortimer's his reputation precedes him. I've read this plot before (a michelle reid, I think). I went through some of penny jordan's old ones last week. she's really a prolific writer, her plots usually are unique for each book (but not necesarily with other harlequin authors).

I have been trying to get rid of my old harlequins and almost all have been 1 star to me. They included fife sheikh romances. I wish there were better (sheikh romances).
His Cinderella's One-Night Heir Lib/EI used to love every book this author created but recently her books IMHO have been a bit crummy. However, I was really happy to see that her newest Harlequin Presents (my guilty pleasure books) was awesome. The H, Dante, falls so deeply in love with the h, Belle, he doesn't know what hit him. Dante isn't an ass**hole like a lot of her previous Heros. Their story is really sweet and low angst. I highly recommend this book.
Please can someone heelp, the book i'm looking for is an Harlequin, i think the couple were separated or divorced because of a misunderstanding or because he thought she cheated; he takes her back to his Greek island, the heroine actually tried to run away by selling a jewellery he gave her, there is painter involved that caused jelousy between the couple, i also think his brother's widow or his sister had smth to do with this Pleaase help
