Okay I want to know who Charles is. He's seems very attached to Meghan. I'm kinda wondering if it's her dad. If he's been there so long she doesn't recognize him.
I found the whole Ironhorse twist to be interesting. And he does seem to be proving his worth to Meghan.
The Briars. That seems like a cool place. With as dangerous as it is, I would've like to got more of an experience there.

I'm trying to remember if that was her dad's name or if we even learned her dad's name in the first book?! I had the same thought though.
Oops one more thought. The Exile mansion, I was almost bored by lol. It seems everyone just got lulled to just existing and I'm thinking that's what it was supposed to do but I admit I'm grateful something happened because I was getting a tad bored heh.

I'm thinking its Meghans dad too! But remember that witch hag took all her memories of her dad she has a gapping hole there. And in this part it's mentioned there is a hole where she should remember the song. And she almost recognizes him and he should be familiar but he's not. It's because of that mean nasty woman for taking ALL of her memories of him and not just the one day! Grrr, I do hope she finds out and remembers though!

I love the IronHorse twist! And that he can take on a "man" body too. He is a great defender for Meghan with the Iron Fey. Not that Ash wasn't or Puck isn't, but they are so valnurable to the iron and he isn't.

Oh yes. She needs to stop and think about what she is saying. I don't mind the bargains but she really needs to word it to her beniefit and not theres. She needs to slow down some for sure! I'm also glad she feels so strongly, but she needs to think before she speaks too. You would think by now she would learn that.

He reminds me of all the movie characters who have their hands in everyone's pot for one reason or another. I love this character but sometimes I wonder how far he will go to achieve his own goals?

Jackie's right. It's her human dad or that's what I thought. Remember that part of her memory was taken in the first book. It was the memory of her dad or so I thought.

I'm thinking maybe "the rats" are an internal manifestation of his memories? I hope the damage is reversible, though.

It frustrates me that he disappears before anything happens, the shows up only when things are getting dire again. Maybe if he stuck around more, the others wouldn't get into so much trouble, lol.

I quickly looked in here before I had reached the end of part 2 and I mistook this for a tear on Charles' cheek....it's Ash! Poor guy. I'm not liking the sound of "bug removal" for him though.

You know Grim disappearing sometimes bothers me as in he plans or sets them up to fall into these situations. Makes me wonder from time to time if he is selling Meghan out too.
But then it always seems to be just what he was planning anyway. And he plays it off so shruggishly. Like its nothing, it's just what was suppose to happen. But he saves them too.
Kind of backwards, isn't it? But then again we are dealing with fey here. And this would be a PERFECT example of how fey are.
