Hi Kyla!! Welcome to TUS :D it took me 14 years after being able to read to find my all-time favourite and there are a few close second choices. so don't feel the need to have a favourite book. :)

message 266: by Sᴀᴅɪʏᴀ (new)

Sᴀᴅɪʏᴀ i can't choose having favorite books either! i just love them all!

message 267: by Karoline (last edited Nov 29, 2011 02:17PM) (new)

Karoline Hi everyone!

I'm Karoline, age 15. I LOVE reading, books, David Archuleta, and "Criminal Minds". My reading variety is pretty vast, I go from Jane Austen to the Hunger Games to Harry Potter (again) and back.

I do enjoy vampire stories, although I've been a little discouraged due to the writing styles in "Twilight" and "The Vampire Diaries" (although, for the latter, I watch the show all the time). If any of you did happen to like those books, that's cool. They just didn't turn out to be my thing. I'm having another go with the vampire books as I've asked for the first book in the House of Night series for Christmas.

I also bounce back and forth between reading hard cover novels and my Kobo e-reader. Also, my favourite novel is "The Perks of Being a Wallflower", while that place had previously been held by "The Lovely Bones". So I will definitely recommend those two books to those who haven't read them already.

message 268: by Sᴀᴅɪʏᴀ (new)

Sᴀᴅɪʏᴀ Hey Karoline! cool spelling for the name! HI! and I heard The Perks of Being a Wallflower is becoming a movie. I think Logan Lerman is starring in it.

just read this. I think of Aussies having really cool accents. ((well an accent to me)) And then I think of the Opera House and a place I really really wanna visit!

and if you're quartreijtfdfjiopncfdlfdsfijafiewlingual (?) then I have no idea what the heck I'd be.

I know English, Urdu and Hindi. I can understand Punjabi, though I suck at speaking it. I can only read Arabic and am learning Spanish. so would that be hextagonallingiualishnessual? or something?

Karoline Sara-Sadiya =D wrote: "Hey Karoline! cool spelling for the name! HI! and I heard The Perks of Being a Wallflower is becoming a movie. I think Logan Lerman is starring in it."

Thank you. It's because my parent's are both from Denmark and that way my name makes sense in both English and Danish without having to change the spelling.

Also, yes, Logan Lerman is going to be in the Perks of Being a Wallflower movie. It's also gonna have Emma Watson, Nina Dobrev, and Paul Rudd.

message 271: by Sᴀᴅɪʏᴀ (new)

Sᴀᴅɪʏᴀ Omg that's so cool! My parent's are from India and I was named. Sara-Sadiya. Both arabic names which makes sense cause all muslim names are arabic. can you speak Danish?

OMG I love Emma Watson! I can't wait to see how she'll do in the movie that's not Harry Potter. It might be a bit weird though lol. So used to seeing her as Herminie ((spelt it wrong i know))

I speak a little Danish but since I have my head wrapped around school so much, I'm planning on taking actual lessons after I graduate from high school. And then I can apply for Canadian-Danish dual citizenship.

message 273: by Sᴀᴅɪʏᴀ (new)

Sᴀᴅɪʏᴀ that's so cool! i think i have something like that except it's American-India. at least that's what my parents told me I have.

Lynda Engler (lyndaengler) | 2 comments I’m Lynda Engler and I’m a Middle Grade and YA author. You can find my last novel (Middle Grade: The Forgotten Isle - time travel/fantasy) in eBook or paperback on Amazon.
I’m working on my next novel, a YA speculative fiction/post-apocalyptic novel called “Out of Ewr” and I want to connect with people who read the genre. Yes, I want to pick your brain! (But not eat it! However, there are some zombie-like creatures in “Out of Ewr” who MIGHT want to eat your brain though!)
You can check out my Goodreads author page @ http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/....
Please send a friend request or follow me. I'm enjoying meeting so many people on Goodreads!

Laszlo (steampunk) | 3 comments Hello, my name is Laszlo! I enjoy to read science fiction books, and my favorite books ever are The Giver by Lois Lowry and Looking for Alaska by John Green. I enjoy the subject of Physics, and hope to one day be a Physicist. I am currently writing a short-story about a highly intelligent high-school student named Paprika who enjoys pulling pranks, and has been transferred to the last school that has (a) Not suspended her and (b) Let her in. She is misunderstood by most people who believe she does the things she does to make up for her father's untimely death, except for her best friend, Amanda, who knows that she only does it as a way of showing the stupidity of society. I am also writing a novel called "The Circus" about two orphans who live at a circus who try to solve who killed two men, a magician and a clown, who worked at the circus.
