HI Dee,
I don't know what paleo is, but halving your cholesterol in a year is amazing. Well done.

Dee (austhokie) | 9019 comments paleo is also known as the caveman diet...its basically taking all processed food out of the diet - lots of meat, vegetables, fruits and spices...I just can't quite give up my coffee in the am

That actually sounds very sensible, I like tea myself, not sure I could give that up! I have recently got a gaqrden and been working on growing my own food, which is really good fun. I might try the diet. Thanks for the tip!

mstan | 868 comments I used to run pretty frequently, but have not been doing so regularly for 2-3 years now. I would like to read Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen to get inspired. Would that be OK?

Dee (austhokie) | 9019 comments ack - the book I grabbed it like reading a dictionary about gluten free - I went cross-eyed after 10 pages...lol!

would Gluten-Free Girl: How I Found the Food That Loves Me Back...And How You Can Too work - it talks about how she became gluten free, tips, and apparently even some recipes (her blog is supposed to be entertaining/insightful as well)

That would be great. I have now started a diet and really starting to struggle with what to eat other than my usual bread, potatos, pasta, rissotto!!!

Good luck.

Hettie | 130 comments I abandoned the first book I tried to read for this (Plato, Not Prozac!: Applying Eternal Wisdom to Everyday Problems) and so need another.

I would like to read Sparkto hopefully encourage me to keep running and increase my distance. There dose not seem to be a description on goodreads but the subtitle on the cover sums it up well.

This would work. Kate.x.

Hettie | 130 comments Thanks Kate. I'm hoping that this is more relevant than my last choice.

And thanks Vicky for finding a description.

Strange to think that I will be the first to rate and review this book once I finish it.

Katrina (katmcv) | 455 comments Could I read The Home Guide to Cake Decorating as I want to learn and improve in this area?

It goes more in-depth than other recipe books, so I thought it would be more appropriate for improving my skills in this area. :)

I mostly bought the book to help me with strategies to redirect my boys (ages 2 and 5) instead of the standard time-outs, reasoning, or flat out getting angry with them. I'm a stay-at-home mom with limited patience these days and needed help finding ways to keep my sanity and not be so angry with my lovely little ones so much.

Thanks Kate! I have a garden, and it needs some serious weeding since I can't find the time to get out there when it's not the heat of the day. It's helped me to get to the gym and put the boys in the nursery for an hour, even if that means I have to exercise *wink*
