Where is the page that has all the book covers--that was a cool way to display everyone's work. . ..
Found them! Duh, I need to slow down.
Glad you found it, Eileen!! :)The indie/self pub book that I plan on trying to read very soon is Vampires Rule
, I hope things slow down enough very soon that I get a chance to read it!! here's to hoping!! LOL
Hi Ian,I'm glad you enjoyed the book. More importantly, thanks for taking the time to post a review with some depth to it. This is the kind of review that helps potential readers decide whether they are likely to enjoy a book, not just learn that the reviewer did (or didn't).
It is very much appreciated.
Paul Guthrie
I have notes for two more books in the series, but the next is at least a couple of years away. I have another project I have to finish first. Unfortunately I'm a slow writer. Let me know when your book is online.Paul
I've just read a few, actually. Most of them good, some not great. Are we posting the reviews in here, or in the covers section of the main page?
These are some of the indie books I read this month:Hollowland
Rex Riders
Priscilla the Great
Daphne and the Silver Ash
The Stone of Destiny: A Novel
There are others out there that I read this month too! I read many indie authors and review them all. I love supporting indies!! :)
Would be fun to do this monthly...since I am slow and missed the June deadline. So, for those that think doing this in July is just as awesome, my book is Just Sippy. Published by an independent out of Colorado...a debut for both of us! That's pretty Indie, huh?
It follows an eleven year old little girl named Sippy as she discovers first; God(not in a preachy way, but in a, "I am not sure this is right, but I have to tell you some stuff, so just listen" kind of a way); a family secret; and a hippie, 43 year-old cousin, Jilly, who loves rock & roll music, pizza and being a gypsy!
With all these discoveries, the story follows Sippy to Alabama with her new hippie friend and introduces her to a whole new world. Music, books, family, the truth, and faith. The journey changes her whole life-which the story continues to follow.
It starts in the 70's and spans 30 years. Told by Sippy, the story shares with the reader this amazing friendship between two very different people. An eleven year old Iowa girl and her best friend, Jilly; a 43- year-old hippie cousin from Alabama.
Not bad for one book, huh? Thirty years! Some awesome music. A few lessons. Great friendship. Makes ya feel like dancin', laughin', cryin' and singin'. Just some good wholesome fun readin'! Or so I've been told!
Give it a look... http://www.justsippy.com
or it's over on www.amazon.com too.
I blog, too, but kinda different than the book. It's non-fiction...well, except for the parts I make up!
Stop by anytime. http://kimberlyjcoleman.blogspot.com
Thanks,
Kimberly
