Character names

I don't know if you guys know this, but I completely, utterly SUCK at coming up with character names. I seriously have to keep a file of names to refer back to because otherwise I'll start a book and stare at the screen for almost half an hour, trying to come up with a character name I like. It's TERRIBLE!

What are some names you think would be good for characters? If I use your suggested name, I'll send you a copy of the book when it comes out. :)

It depends on the charactor (age etc), Stephanie is a good name which can be shortened.

Jack or Jake for a guy.

I think I had a Stephanie in Formula for Danger, but Jake is a good name! It sounds very manly. :)

I have read so many books I cant keep up. I do remember Rachel.

how about Sheridan or Courtney.
I would have suggested Gilbert Gil for short but not many like that name like I do.

Aw, I love Gilbert! But maybe not for a contemporary hero. :)

Donavon is a nice... slightly pretentious name

Anne of Green Gables is where I first heard the name Gilbert.

I like Donovan! He sounds rich and powerful.

Luke is a good name... or maybe it's just cause I crushed on a super cute Luke growing up... and then there's the 90210 influence.

Ginger, I always wanted to be Ginger: spunky, beautiful, yeah... that!
