HappinessI could be happy if the sun was shining
I could be happy if the grass was green
I could be happy if no one was crying
I could be happy if you stopped being mean.
'Cos you see that's the thing
you hate me and tell me so everyday
So if you would just go away
you and your disgusting nose ring.
I'm happy the way I am because you see
that's what true happiness is to me.
This is just a thought not really a poem just a thought. I hope you like it. Happiness
When you think of happiness do you think about the movie The Pursuit of Happyness or do you think of a kid who gets to taste his first ice cream cone? Or do you reference it with someone who has just won the lottery? Or maybe it's the first time that man or woman looked upon their newborn for the first time. Can it be associated as only a feeling or associated with an object? What can you say brings you complete happiness?
Happiness to me means having an inner peace. I don't have a care in the world because at that moment I'm just HAPPY. I find that happiness comes when I least expect it. It's when I get an A after I know I should have failed. It's when my baby says I love you, Mommy in her 3 year old voice. It's when I read a good book that I just can't put down. It's even when I push myself through whatever trying storm I'm going through and can say in the end, "Hey at least you made it through." I love it when I see people happy because it's as if they turned on a big bright light over themselves that says, "Look at Me!"
When I'm happy I want to drive with the windows down to have the breeze go through my hair. I want to feel the complete freedom of release that makes me want to spin openly in a park like on The Sound of Music. I want to sing at top of my lungs and not care that I don't sound as if I should be on American Idol. And most of all, when I'm happy it makes me want to spread my Joy to everyone else. Just seeing someone else smile is PRICELESS. It's as that saying goes, LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH. Well, I say you should Live to be happy, Love to be happy, and Laugh just because you are happy.

It feels like sunshine
It tastes like sugar
It is the feeling that you want
But very rarely get
Happiness is worked for
And once it’s there
You never let it go.
You never let it go... until an earthquake takes your house while someone robs your bank account.
cant post any stories this time... all my stories involve darkness, death, abuse, and that sort of stuff.

So many people,
all over this Earth,
looking for the same thing,
the same feeling.
Happiness.
They look
and look
and look
as if it's just waiting for them
behind a new house
or a being rich
or being important.
They look to yellow
smiley faces
winking at them,
and they ask
how they can find happiness.
But happiness isn't a
one-size-fits-all
kind of thing.
We all have different minds,
but more importantly,
we all have different hearts.
So they can look
and look
and look
all they want,
but happiness isn't behind
a house
or a job
or what people think of you.
It's tucked in your heart,
waiting for you to stop looking,
so that it can find you.

I've never been in a writing contest before. This is nerve racking like waiting for my final grade on a final exam. Who got it???? lol

A word that can change one's life forever. A kind smile. A warm welcome. An embrace. A kind action, and encouraging word. What would the world be without happiness?
