Rusty left his home because he wanted to see the life of a Clan cat. He never regrets going into the wild.

Rusty (Firepaw/heart/star) has had dreams from Starclan all his life. He had a dream about catching a mouse in the wild. Starclan led him to the forest because of Goosefeather (from Bluestar's Prophecy) and Spottedleaf (from Into the Wild) had prophecies that fire would burn through the forest and save the clan. Then Bluestar, Graystripe, and Lionheart found him.

He wanted adventure. We all do sometimes in pur pampered lives. He wanted to be proud of himself, instead of sitting around eating cat food. Plus, destiny is destiny after all.

* facepalm* if you read the books better he left his home because he had an offer to be wild and free or he had an offer to loose everything he had. Blustar found him and gave him an offer and he took it to be wild and free and not to be neutered.
