Thank you Miss Dana :D

Now wouldn't that 25th hour come in handy, but only if used for the power of good or you know, for reading. LOL

message 204: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LOL!

Dana (erato) | 922 comments Bummer! Keep your eye out though. Steph is so creative that she has something new (almost) every day. And maybe this first attempt will inspire me to try to be creative again! If I do, I hope you can join in! :)

message 210: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Yes, do try again! ;)

message 211: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments For week 7 I read Break Out (Blood Hunter, #1) by Nina Croft for cool pad. :D

message 212: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Dizon (sarahd828) | 1376 comments For this week I am reading for Hot Head (sexy accent) and I'm using Seduced by Her Highland Warrior by Michelle Willingham.

Seduced by Her Highland Warrior (MacKinloch Clan, #2) by Michelle Willingham

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments This week I am reading Visions of Magic (Awakening, #1) by Regan Hastings for Hot Heads - red headed heroine!

Heather ~ Marceline | 1017 comments For week six I read Nauti Deceptions (Nauti, #5) by Lora Leigh for cool drink, and for week seven I will be reading Riding the Storm (ACRO, #1) by Sydney Croft for cool breeze.

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Nothing "cool" about Riding the Storm (ACRO, #1) by Sydney Croft . Hawt!!!!!!

message 216: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Absolutely, Cindy. >;)

message 217: by Dana (new)

Dana (erato) | 922 comments Well, for week six I read Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews for H6, Hot and Spicy. I can tell this series will be good, but this one didn't blow me away. Promising, but I guess I'm just not there yet.

Curran? Ohhh yeah, he has potential. ;D

For this week, #7, I read Kiss of Midnight (Midnight Breed, #1) by Lara Adrian for H4, Hot Shades. It was like a cross between Christine Feehan's Carpathians and Shannon K. Butcher's Sentinel War books. I liked it quite a bit. Good stuff. :) And dang...those dermaglyph tatoos sound freakin' sexy. Meeroowr!

message 218: by Dana (new)

Dana (erato) | 922 comments Sad but true, we are halfway through the summer! *groan*

How is the summer reading going for you all? :) Are we all getting enough read by the pool time? :)

message 219: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments LOL. If we had a pool, it would probably have ice floating in it, just like hubby's windshield every morning.

message 220: by Dana (new)

Dana (erato) | 922 comments Sweet! Ice-skating party at Sandra's. :D

I'll make the hot cocoa! *peppermint Schnapps optional*

message 221: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Pool? I wish! A/C for me. Reading is slow, but good books recently, which is always nice. :)

LOL Sandra!

Heather ~ Marceline | 1017 comments Cindy (eclecticfirefly) wrote: "Nothing "cool" about Riding the Storm (ACRO, #1) by Sydney Croft. Hawt!!!!!!"

Oooh that makes me even more excited! Michelle reccomended this series and it sounded pretty good so I can't wait!

message 223: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Yeah, I just wish they were cheaper. I'm keeping my eyes open on that series.

message 224: by Sarah (last edited Jul 23, 2011 03:53PM) (new)

Sarah Dizon (sarahd828) | 1376 comments For next week (starting 7/24) I will be reading Once Bitten, Twice Shy by Jennifer Rardin. It will fill the Hot & Spicy category.

Once Bitten, Twice Shy (Jaz Parks Series #1) by Jennifer Rardin

message 225: by Josie (last edited Jul 24, 2011 05:49AM) (new)

Josie | 1967 comments Oh man, I'm a bit behind but I can make it up!

Would Pride (Shifters, #3) by Rachel Vincent count as Hot House (I think it's set in Texas)?

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Well.....we've had at least 40 days of 100+ temps in Texas just this year. Believe me, it's hot!

message 227: by Josie (new)

Josie | 1967 comments Lol! I'll use that then :)

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments I'll be reading Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins for Hot Shades (and Bingo!)

message 229: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments I'm way behind on this week's pick. Just remembered I need one for Wk8 - I'm going with Sleeping With the Wolf (After the Crash, #1) by Maddy Barone for cool drink. :)

message 230: by Josie (new)

Josie | 1967 comments Hope you enjoy it Steph, I've been meaning to get that one! Sounds good :)
Unfortunately, although 'Shifters' is set in Texas, the whole of that book was set in Montana or some place like that. The point is, it wasn't a hot place, gah!! So now I have to find another pick :'(

message 231: by Lis (new)

Lis | 4037 comments My Hot Bodies read: Elijah (Nightwalkers, #3) by Jacquelyn Frank and my Hot shots read: Dragon Bound (Elder Races, #1) by Thea Harrison

What week # should we be starting? Not sure if I'm still ahead or fallen behind...

message 232: by Wan (last edited Jul 30, 2011 04:00AM) (new)

Wan (wanwaddell) | 612 comments My last two books:

I'm pretty sure that tomorrow (31/07) is the start of week #9 :)

message 234: by Lis (new)

Lis | 4037 comments Thx Josie! This is like a summer meter and we only have a few more weeks left :(

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Do ya'll think this will work for Cool Shades? Is there enough grey in the cover?

Turnskin by Nicole Kimberling

message 236: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments We'll have to let Dana decide. LOL

message 237: by Dana (new)

Dana (erato) | 922 comments It's lookin' pretty icy to me Cindy. ;)

And yes, Sunday (July 31st) is the begining of week 9. Egads this summer is flying!

So I'm finally going to do it. I'm reading The Name of the Wind (Kingkiller Chronicle #1) by Patrick Rothfuss during week 9 for H3 Cool Breeze.

It's actually been 'A/C all day' around here. That isn't normal in my neck of the woods. Yippee! Yeah summer. :)

I am such a dork. I never would have thought of 'crave' for that one, you super-smarty! :)

message 239: by Josie (last edited Jul 31, 2011 01:21AM) (new)

Josie | 1967 comments That is a good one!

For week #7, I read Break Out (Blood Hunter, #1) by Nina Croft for cool pad, completely stolen from Steph (really enjoyed it though).
Week #8, I'm going to kind of cut corners and read First Frost (Mythos Academy #0.5) by Jennifer Estep for... I think chilly treats (whichever is the frost/crystal/ice etc category)
Erm not sure what I'm reading this week but I've decided for hot and spicy to read Scent of Danger (Darklands, #3) by Autumn Dawn because scent is very important to eating (iffy ambiguous I know, but it was either that or using the word 'delight' which I would have justified as "well you can eat angel delight") I will use a better one if I can find one ;)

Thanks Dana! It's one of many I have to read next week and then mail out by 8-6. SIGH......so many books, so little time!

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments While I do appreciate all the help with Turnskin, I recently discovered I have already filled that category.....

SO.....

I will be reading Julian's Jeopardy (Dawn Endeavor, #3) by Marie Harte for the Hot Bodies week. What could be hotter than abs in chains?????

*yes, I'm twisted!*

message 242: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Thanks, Josie, I did enjoy it. Glad you liked Break Out. Wasn't that a fun read?

message 243: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Not sure what I'll read for Week 9 yet. Maybe one of these:

Something with a light cover for cool shades or
My Way to Hell (Hell #2) by Dakota Cassidy - Hot house
A Taste of the Nightlife (Vampire Chef, #1) by Sarah Zettel - Hot & spicy

I'll pop back soon with my choice. Hope everyone has a great week!!

Whoops. Forgot to pop back with my final choice. I read Call of the Sea by M. Pillow. Mermaid + were = steamy sex. LOL

I liked Crave better also. Looking forward to #3.

Sarah Dizon (sarahd828) | 1376 comments This might be stretching it but I'm just asking anyways haha, can The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa count as a chilly treat?

There are snowflakes on the cover, and I believe snow/ice in the background.

The Iron Knight (Iron Fey, #4) by Julie Kagawa

ETA:

For H2O can I use a body of water on the cover instead of in the title?

Tris & Izzy by Mette Ivie Harrison

Tris & Izzie by Mette Ivie Harrison

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments I'll be reading Storm's Faeries by Jory Strong for Cool Breeze.

I'm off to the PO, and then gonna TRY to finish The Greyfriar (Vampire Empire, #1) by Clay Griffith

message 248: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments I'm not sure what I'll be reading for week 10 yet. I'll pop back ASAP with my book choice. Hope everyone has a great week!

The H2O one needs to be in the title but the chilly treat one is perfect. ;)
