AH | 2271 comments I liked it too, but it reminded me a lot of Poison Study.

D.G. | 2752 comments There are some similarities but I think ToP is a better book.

Ditto. It has a larger world and it's more complex with a high level of detail.

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments I can't find it on GR but there's a graphic novel, House of Night by P.C. Cast.

Black Dawn (The Morganville Vampires, #12) by Rachel Caine is also available but I've been denied it just when the stats went down. :(

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments That is really frustrating. I wonder when they will be fixed.

message 109: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Very soon, I hope. I've got The Glimpse by Claire Merle on request which I've been anxious to read since I heard about it last year.

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Hmm tha tlooks interesting!

I just received Living Proof by Kira Peikoff

message 111: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Ooh. A controversial topic. Me likee but I think I need to read the book I have before I request more.

message 112: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments You only have one right now? I so need help!!! I can stop myself from asking for more!

message 113: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments I now have The Glimpse by Claire Merle Glamorous Illusions by Lisa Tawn Bergren Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin, #1) by R.L. LaFevers to read plus two reviews to write. I don't want to put too much pressure on myself by requesting so many at once.

message 114: by AH (new)

AH | 2271 comments See, Regina - No 12 step program needed there - :)

Meanwhile, I got 2 more to read and many reviews to write.

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments LOL.

YOU know in addition to our google calendar, I have a spreadsheet organized by month of dates -- both of "pleasure" reads and netgalley and publisher requests -- those create a false sense of control I think.

Scarlett Dawn (scarlettdawn) | 1 comments Hi guys!
I'm really new to Goodreads, so if I'm placing this in the wrong place, please just tell me (searched the bookshelf, but I couldn't figure out how to post there).
First, I write new adult fantasy (a series). Second, my book is currently up on NetGalley. Third, it's my very first book to be published. If you're curious, the official blurb is here:
King Hall by Scarlett Dawn King Hall

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments In Lara Adrian's latest newsletter she said,
Want to review Bound to Darkness?

I've finally taken the plunge and opened a NetGalley account! For now, I'm listing on a title by title basis, although I may set up an author/publisher account if things go well and if the administration isn't too time-consuming.

So, to help get my feet wet, I've listed Bound to Darkness as my first book available for review requests from bloggers, librarians, and booksellers.

Normally, NetGalley is for ARCs of future releases, but since I didn't have a chance to do a lot of promotion for Carys and Rune's book when it released last August, I'm looking for some folks to help me spread the word now. That's the wonderful thing about publishing my own books--they're always new to someone! :)

Click HERE to request a review copy at NetGalley.

Kim Shumaker (kim_shumaker) | 707 comments I requested a copy of Bound to Darkness and she sent me the ARC. I'm so excited! I absolutely love this series!
