A Game of Thrones by Martin. Very good so far.

I have started The Soul Mirror, by Carol Berg, and enjoying that rarest trait in a writer - the ability to turn a situation on its head, and create characters who are NEVER as they seem at first glance.She writes unpredictability with exquisite mastery. Too few books have this quality.

Oh well ...
Decided to finish the Age of Unreason series by Greg Keyes, but my memory of the first book, which a read some time ago, was so fuzzy I'm having to reread/skim it first.
