I cried super hard during this book. It was so freaking sad. I wish Mason wouldn't have died, because he was an overall awesome character.
And yeah, having Rose's mom actually being in this book was super cool. I think that her mom is pretty awesome, even though she doesn't really come off as the motherly type, she has her moments when she is in mom mode.
Oh, and I don't really think that any of the Strigoi are good. None at all :)

The ending of this book was so sad, but I loved the book. I really didn't like Rose's mom for some reason. She just rubbed me the wrong way, I guess. However, I really like Christian's character.

Yeah, I forgot about Christian. I thought he was a really good match for Lissa. He wasn't as snobby as the other royals and they really cared about each other. Plus he had fire powers, and I always like characters who have some sort of fire power.

I like the relationship that Rose has with Christian also. The snarky comments are always some of my favorites.

Yeah, Rose and Christian were so funny together.
I felt really bad for Mia (even though I really hated her before her mom died). Even she didn't deserve that.

Yea, she just had some problems and needed to get them all out. Even though Andre was one of her major problems. I always thought he was kind and nice and lovable like Lissa but I was wrong. He has a dark side! But the whole series is awesome!

After about the kind of guy Lissa's brother was, I looked down on all royals from that point on. Except Lissa and Christian. I also like Adrian in this book. He was this big mysterious guy that everyone thought was kind of dangerous to be associated with, and he was always flirting with Rose.

i agree this book was an amazing sequel to VA and was also really sad when mason died, though i was so proud of rose for killing her first strigoi.

I felt so bad that Rose had to go through that. She was so torn up about it.

I like Mason too, and I felt so bad for him. I knew from the beginning of his obvious crush on Rose in the first book that he didn't have a chance.

Just curious, Have any of you guys read Richelle Mead's,most recent book? Bloodlines, it focus on several of the characters who were somewhat on the outer circle of Rose and Dimitri's story. It's really very good. It focuses on the alchemist Sydney's viewpoint(she was the one who reluctantly helped Rose and Dimitri when they were looking for Lissa's sister jill in one of the last Academy books, Spririt Bound...) But it focuses on her and how she is now assigned to protect Jill, and Adrian, one of Rose's longterm crushes,(well, he really liked her) is featured in this book....who I liked alot.He wasn't perfect, but he always ended up doing the right thing...anyway, check it out:)
I haven't read this book yet but I just now finished the first one and I am getting ready to start this one.

I really liked it. And the kiss at the end totally made up for Mason dying. (sorta. :( I can't believe he died tho!)

Hi, do you know about the indiegogo crowdfunding to make Frostbite into a movie? The producers managed to secure most of the funds, but needed to hear from the fans. It's the last day of the funding. There was a lot of trouble with advertising. There are some really great perks including getting an emailed digital copy of the movie & a t-shirt, etc. If you can't donate, please try and spread the word. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/fr...

I hope I'm not the only one who cried at the ending. It was really sad. Poor Mason.
I liked Rose's mom more after the plane ride. I'm glad she was in this book instead of just talked about.
One complaint I have about this book is that we didn't really find out more about Strigoi and why we have to assume that they're all evil and lost all their humanity. At this point, it still seemed like there was a possibility that there could be some nice Strigoi out there instead of the two power-hungry ones we saw in this book.
