Maurizio Codogno (xmau) | 34 comments The book The Magic of Lewis Carroll has been translated into Italian into Enigmi e giochi matematici ; however in the Italian version John Fisher is stated as editor, and the author is Lewis Carroll.

Which is the best way to combine the two books?

Please don't. It makes the combine pages wonky, messes with books-by-author lists, and does some other not-preferred things. Anyway, I think the editor should be listed as primary in this case. I moved it back.

Maurizio Codogno (xmau) | 34 comments If it makes sense to have the editor listed before the author, it's fine with me.

In a case like this, where the content of the book depends so much on the editor, I think it does.

Beth (bethjustbeth) | 1568 comments Makes sense to me. I was just recently told that you could do that after combining... Thanks for clarifying.

You can; as in, it is possible. It is not, in my opinion at least, preferable.
