war with other species. The other species is like a human, except bigger
and they have shell like armor.(?)There are also other species but i
cannot remember details.
I think the book starts with the boy and his
brother attacking another creature. The humans there suffer alot, and I
think that they sometimes give the elderly or sick to the other species as
trade for food or other things. There are aircraft that fly in the sky
(more civilized) and they fight up there. One day an aircraft is shot
down, and a woman falls from the sky in a parachute. The main char. had
broken his leg and since nobody had medical knowledge, they all thought he
would never be able to walk right anymore. The woman that falls from the
sky does not speak to anybody, but she starts showing progress little by
little. She splints the boys leg, and he is able to walk again.
The boy
has an older brother, and the older brother wants to take the strange
woman as his wife. The boy's bother also becomes the human's leader (?)
One day the boy and the woman escape, and they travel the unkown world.
There is a spider creature that are blind but their webs are sticky and
they eat whatever sticks to it. The brother sends a warrior after them and
I think he hesitated to kill them (?) He follows them and they come to a
land where there are bodies on the floor. The bodies are sort of stuck
into the ground, like they are standing on quicksand.
Creatures eat the
prey from the feet up to the head, and the warrior or the woman gets
caught by these. They go back and rescue him or her and they run. They
travel by river, but they see the creatures and also the creature's prey
everywhere. They are trying to get to the sky, because thats where the
woman is from. I think that the people that live in the sky sent some
people to the planet and they watch them as if it was entertainment. The
woman probably tried to help the poor people on the planet, and thats why
they shot her out of the aircraft. So that she would be stuck down in the
planet.
This is most likely a book in a series. (Book One) Please help me
out with this book, I want to use it in a school essay, and I also want to
read it again. Thanks for all the help!
