My favorite so far in the series. I loved this one. I guess I am shallow ... I like a little man handling ..... lol Is that bad?????
Not bad at all. I couldn't put this book down when I read it. I still adore Lachlain, even if he is crazy and a little rough!

Emmaline and Lachlain are just awesome, I couldn't get enough of them and didn't put this book down to see what would become of them. It was an all-night read! I can't wait to keep reading and meet the new couples.

For everyone who enjoyed the story, hope you enjoy the quizz too!

This book is part of why I am so hooked on paranormal romance. IAD remains in my top favorite series!

I enjoyed the steamy and intense chemistry between Lachlain and Emma. You can't go wrong with a sexy, hot highlander who is also a werewolf (although it is a little disappointing that he doesn't actually shift into a wolf). Emma is a wonderful heroine and her transition from shy and timid lass to kick-ass vampire slayer is simply brilliant.
Also loved the secondary characters, especially Nix and Bowen.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Lauren. I couldn't put this book down. I was reading it with my mouth wide open.
It was one of my first. I think I read Night Pleasures first and this one second. Even as a big Sherrilyn Kenyon/Kinley MacGregor fan, KC left her in the dust.

Great ideal. I've followed in Pretty much the same order as you . Though I read The Night Huntress series somewhere in between Vampire Academy and BDB. With Midnight Breed mixed in also . I'm hooked, line and sinker into PNR...lol. Originally reading started out as a mommy daughter venture with Twilight and The House of Night and then grew from there. Reading takes me to another realm of sorts and settles my mind...lol

i looooved lachlane i wish i can have him for real sigh

Picking a favourite IAD species is like picking a favourite desert, sure it's delicious but it doesn't make other ones less delicious.

Yes, who wouldn't be. I found the prologue very helpful in explaining Lachlain's attitude toward finding Emma and his obsession with her as well has his difficulty accepting a vampire as a mate.

Lauren, I agree that the prologue was helpful. He had been looking for her for so long and then to discover that she is a lore creature that you were torchured by must have been agonizing for him.
I agree with you both, Lauren and Jessica. Lachlain's behavior makes perfect sense within the story framework. I didn't have an issue with him because I understood why he was acting that way. If you take him out that framework, then yes, he has some questionable actions.

Hi Jamie. When you say that Emma is off, are you referring to her timidity? It's not typical for this genre to have a timid heroine.
Personally, I like the change. It's very affirming to women overall to have this strong, kickbutt heroine to emulate, but I think some women need to see a woman in transition who is starting one way and is becoming who she was always meant to be.

Sometimes it just happens with a certain character. I respect that.
I actually like that Emmaline is uncertain. She seems like a girl in her twenties who has been sheltered and finding her way in the world. I know I was very timid at least into my mid-twenties.
But that's just me!

Yeah, Lachlan need an Emma type heroine. No way could he have a Sabine heroine, the two would kill each other.

This, A Hunger Like No Other, was my first PNR. It look a lot of convincing to get me to read a PNR. I was so afraid PNR was like people(humans) having sex with dogs and cats in cat form.
Although I now know there are books where that sort of thing happens.

I definitely couldn't see Lachlain with a Sabine type heroine!
