Hi Carlyn. Hey Zina, good to see you again. Great suggestions. I liked the sunbeams, but then I couldn't help laughing at the yolks on u. We also need to decide on a team captain. The one that will be turning in our chip placement to Steph. I don't have a home computer at the moment, so weekend access is limited to library computers or a friend's house. Strategically speaking, I probably wouldn't be the best choice. Completely willing to share my opinion on the placement though, LOL.
I checked and we are from 4 different countries US - Daffodil
Canada - Me
Australia - Jessica
Scotland - Carlyn
Hmmm
The four corners of the earth (sorta)
Ohh
Walking on Sunshine....just popped into my head....
Team Captain....I dont mind taking that on....my only thing is making sure I have internet access on weekends when I am camping (which so far should nt be a prob)....otherwise I am good to go....I am on here throughout the day....
Hey Daffodil nice to meet you! I have to agree I had a good laugh at yolks on u. lol. I'm quite happy for Zina to be team captain as this is the first team challenge I have done. I noticed the teams we are up against earlier:)
did some more thinking about namesYellow Daisies
Shooting Stars
Golden Girls
The Tweety Pies
the sunbursts
the star shooters
the sunfish
yellowjackets
the starfish
the yellowfins
I love puns! So my vote is going towards the yolks on you. Unless Jessica has any strong objection to it.
Looks like you've all decided on the yolks on u.How do you want to display it? I'll make an executive decision & if you want to change it just post here and I or one of the other mods will fix it.
Our First Categories Are:1. Author's (last) name that begins with: S
2. Cover Item: 1/2 nekked man
You may choose to pick a book using both or either category. Be sure to include you cover image, if using that category.

The Mane Event by Shelly LaurenstonMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
The Mane Event
This is a book of two short stories. Christmas Pride was Mace, a lion shifter and Dez, a human cop's story, they knew each other when they were teens but haven't seen each other in 20 years but Mace has known she was his mate from the beginning. The second story is Shaw's tail. Shaw is also a lion shifter and he meets Ronnie Lee who is a wolf shifter.
I preferred the second story in this book as Ronnie Lee was hilarious. The first story annoyed me a little as it didn't explain their past in very much detail.

Hey team. My friend let me bookmark this site when I was at her house Friday night, so I can call her late Saturday/early Sunday and if she's on the computer, she'll look up the category announcements for me. Luckily I had an S author near the top of my stack, because it was recommended to me in a Pick-It-For-Me challenge.Great job Carlyn!

Review: Whenever she see's something odd, Katie reminds herself she isn't in Texas anymore. New York City is home to all types and staring would only mark her as a hick. Then she finds out that some of those "fake" fairy wings and plastic pointed ears weren't fake at all. Katie is a normal girl. She's so normal and without magic that spells won't work on her, not even spells of concealment & illusion cast by the magic community to hide their existence. This makes Katie a valuable employment prospect to MSI, inc (Magic, Spells & Illusions, Inc) and she suddenly has a new job, new friends and a new crush. She just has to find a way to stop a competitor marketing harmful spells.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a light, fun read. The various characters at MSI were funny and interesting. I'll definitely be reading the next book in this series.
Thats great news Daffodil...I was feeling really bad about not getting my pick until after I got back from camping....I will be out at the lake most weekends through the summer....good news is I will have internet access and I will have to take a couple of books with me in case one of them meets the criteria for the week....
Looking forward to this challenge...
Any of you played this game before? I ve seen it but it seems to be all about strategy....Wondering if waiting to announce our chip placement is a good idea? If we wait and place last then we might have a better placement not sure....or do they all get placed at the same time?....Looks like I have some reding to do on the other posts...
Enough rambling for now....gotta get some reading in...Will check in later....
It kind of depends. In some cases, the space you need might be available and another team will do its best to block you. In other cases, it would be better to see what others do and a deliberate delay in posting chip position might be an advantage. It really depends on what the board looks like at the beginning of each round. So it's a good thing we friended each other, so we can send pm's discussing strategy later on. Also, once all our reviews are in, don't wait on me to vote about our chip placement on the other thread. My access is limited to mostly daytime, U.S. and we might lose valuable time if you waited on me. If I have strong feelings about anything, I'll be sure to discuss it ahead of time. :D
Online Connect 4Zina, found this site. Of course with four teams on one board, the strategy will be slightly different. But you could play a few games against the computer to get a basic feel for the game. The key is blocking your opponent, while at the same time setting the board up for yourself.
Cool...I ll check it out....Thanks Daffoldil....You are two hours ahead of me right...I am 9:45am right now...This is going to be crazy with all four us in different time zones...I think I will have to do some research on time zones so I can figure out the times of Carlyn & Jessica....
