Ignore that earlier post by the me. The protag is 9 years old...too young for YA and for me! (It makes me feel like a child molester to read something that young...)Switching to Fae:
Good choices! The Fever books get better and better, as I'm sure you've heard. And I've read good things about XVI. ETA:the cover of XVI has always creeped me out a little
Way to go Shelleyrae! That was fast.
I guess I'll read Across the Universe. I picked it up for .50c months ago, just because it was so darn cheap and I had seen people on GR reading it. I'm such a sheep, LOL.
5th Categories (July 3):1. Character Type: Fae/Fairy
2. Genre: Young Adult
1/4 complete
√ Shelleyrae - Forgotten July 3 ★★★
Vivian - Across the Universe
Nici - XVI
Kristin - Bloodfever

I read Across the Universe. I thought it was ok. I hope you like it. 50 cents is a great price for a book! I do like the cover.

Oh I was so tempted to start the Fever series but I just don't have the space to right now!
FINISHED!! Today: 7/3/11Four stars.
My review: The reviews were correct, the story does get better as it continues. I really liked this 2nd installment of the fever series. Mac is an interesting narrator; she is quite complex. Just when I think I've got her pegged, she does something unexpected. I'm also enjoying trying to figure out Barrons...what IS he?? I hope that one of the stories reveals what he is. It's hard to review the story without giving away any spoilers.

Sorry ladies.....don't know that it's gonna make a difference anyway. Kinda get the feeling it's all over.....Guess we should have been giving tips to the other teams!
On the bright side, do I get to DNF my book? I've only gotten 60 pages in and am bored silly. YAs are usually really quick reads for me.
Oh no!!!! I have that book here..... I already DNF'd 2 books last month! I rarely ever DNF a book....
Did not finish.I usually just slog on through, even though I'm not invested in the story. Just recently getting to the point where I can put a book down and not feel bad if I don't finish it! Think I only DNF'd 1 book last year - and now I've done it to 2 books so far this year!!!! I do plan to finish The Girl in the Steel Corset eventually.....just got at least 10 books ahead of it!
Cindy, I'm sure it's fine. I've heard good reviews and might even try it again one day. Just not in the mood to power through to the good stuff right now.

It is so frustrating as a reader, especially when the reviews are so good. Across the Universe wasn't that good. There are much better ones. Try: Beauty Queens. The satire is flawless and the characters are hilarious!
